Clean bike time

Post by jrewillis »

Here in the UK it's been pretty rainy and wet. Today I finally got to put bike time into action and clean the PCX.

I used my usual cleaning rageime and finished with Muc Off bike protect (which is identical to the motorcycle one but cheaper when I got it) and it's brought the body work and screen etc up lovely.

Just make sure not to get it on brakes or grips/handles.

If that's the same red paint that they will be applying to the 2020 models slated for the U.S. then Honda made the right decision. They call it "Candy Luster Red" on our side of the pond. :D

Not all computer video cards are the same and the web site may not do it justice. It looks a lot better in your pic . . ..

That "L" sticks out quit a bit. I would worry that the wind would cause it to flutter too much. I bet you could cut some of the white off of it. Is there a requirement that the white background be so big?

My scooter is more or less moth balled for the winter . Trying a new anti corrosion spray on my current scooter XCP rust blocker . I have never used it before but sprayed it on all the metal parts and it puts a wax coating on , seems to have good reviews. Always like to keep the salt off any metal parts over the winter so hope this new spray does as it claims .

Yes I'm just curious also. What is the time you have to display the learner plate?
Ride fast and keep it between the fences!

You don't have to. Just retake basic training every 2 years.

It's not worth me doing my full license for the riding I'm doing. I have no plans to go to a bigger bike.

My front L plate was the flexible plastic kind stuck to the windscreen by the dealer. I see many cut-down, mostly on pizza delivery bikes which is illegal and means they are not insured, but the police hardly seem to bother (with anything judging by how bad driving for cars, buses, taxies. coaches is in London these days).
