Riding a scooter is fun

Post by fish »

Even though I have to get geared up like I'm going up Everest - once out on the open road, mostly car free, in the dark countryside.....cruising along on a big wheel small engine scooter - it is f u n..

All the riders who have to put away scooter riding for the winter....well, I might just really feel bad for them, except I'm having too much fun for a guy my age to feel bad about much of anything.

And, once again, can't help but notice how well this little big wheel scooter handles crappy city streets.
When I switch back and forth between a 12" wheel and a 16" - it is very noticeable. No wonder they sell so many big wheel scooters in Europe!

wow great Christmas decorations fish, did you do those? :P yeah 3 years ago I geared up like I'm going up Everest because I thought I was going to work at a petrol station on the A3 for years ahead, so I went and bought a £400 helmet £200 trousers £300 jacket etc etc, spent a fortune, then when I started work there was nowhere provided to stow all that gear, everybody else arrived by car because there were masses of car parking spaces, literally huge amounts of parking , so my plan of going there on a motorcycle didnt work, a couple of months later I was doing an office job where motorcycle parking/ lockers were easy on site so it all worked out, I'm still wearing that stuff now

...and there is the biggest reason I love scooters! When I go to the store I know that I can store my helmet and gloves...and dashcam, and a bit of this and that...in the tailbox. I can store my jacket under the seat...plus this and that.

When I buy groceries I can then store them where my jacket, helmet, etc. were stored, and just ride home without worrying about them.
Currently own:
