Yes I probably would have said that, fortunately I have the ability to think its rubbish and love it at the same time.
Take any vehicle, there's going to be stuff about it you like and stuff about it you don't like.
Just have a look at the trend on YouTube, "X things I hate about my ___"/"X things I love about my ___" videos.

The Vespa GTS300 HPE is still underpowered, still can't fit a full-face helmet under the seat, still has shorter service intervals than Honda and will doubtless still have rusting issues unless given some very thorough rust proofing treatment.

But..... and its a very big but..... the things look drop dead gorgeous.

Its a heart -v- head kinda thing.

Oh yes, both of those. MPH biased speedo on US market models though, so presumably possible to get one flown across the pond.

Did I ever mention how many brake light/start inhibitor switches and fuel pumps my Forza ate its way through...?

Already did, only she's an excellent cook, so we're concentrating on improving her performance in another area.
It's an ongoing process, practice makes perfect!

How are the electrics holding up on your Piaggio?

Oh aye, those too along with all the silencer gaskets.
Despite all the problems I experienced with the Forza, I would still recommend it as a commuter tool.

You see here why they get rusty from the inside out, almost zero paint inside.

Xmax300, don't like the styling
Forza 300 don't like the styling or the electric screen
Kawasaki J300 service interval far too short, don't trust local dealer
Kymco X-town 300 no decent colour option, no local dealer
Cruisym 300 seriously fugly, no local dealer

You didn't mention Kymco People GT300i

Neither did I mention the Honda SH300 and if you look at the pair of them and consider what they have in common you'll maybe understand why they don't get on my shortlist.
They're both good examples of what they are, but I don't want what they are.
Don't like the Beverly 300 much either.

The Suzuki Burgman 400 would probably be "over the top" for you as far as price and what you need but it is a nice machine. Maintenance is not as simple on a Burgman as it is on some other scooters though. However, the parts availability should be good as it is a major brand.

Anyhow . . . some say the Burgman 200 will do 75 MPH and it's around $5K. Not sure what they go for in Europe. I suspect it would hold 65 MPH but again it's a matter of load, road conditions, and terrain. Just something else to consider.

This review is a bit long in the tooth but several folks make their comments about it and worth a look when it comes to spending hard earned money. The ergonomics can be an issue for some due to the low seat height and something about the way the tail section is mounted is of concern due to tabs breaking or something caused by long term vibration . . .. But other than that it's a nice ride.

I did consider one before I bought my XMax but I'm too big. The dealer had a used one on hand . . .. :geek:

A closer look of the more recent model.

How are the electrics holding up on your Piaggio?
Well alright then!
Better hope she never reads over your shoulder.
Two years on now since unloading the Burgman for the little Piaggio. Love it. Accessories are stupidly expensive, parts not bad. Not that I've needed any.
155cc's are perfect for my riding habits.
Flawless, no issues, and seems well made (in Vietnam - which took ....well, we weren't getting on so well when last spoke in 1969)
The little 6Ah battery is working....love the 55/60 headlight!
Yeah, appearances half sold me on it - plus the good reviews. Not much else offered in 150-250 big wheels here.
I have positive feelings for the Forza NSS300 as well. Wish I'd kept it.

Leaning
3 Wheels keep on Rolling......
How about the Piaggio Mp3? It's offered across the pond in several models (Sport is one). CC range 300, 350 and 500. Nice to have added Traction, Lovely smooth ride, trunk storage and more. You've rode one, right gn2? Can't deny it, it's safer than 2.

I have not kept up with it's pro's and con's but I imagine a few kinks were sorted since birth.
A Costly but Quality machine. Would love to give a go on one again, but the U.S.A. shutting down Vespa/Piaggio shops - service and parts go with them :(

Fellow down the street is trying to sell one for $6000.
Good luck with that in rural Ohio, might help if he'd at least wash it. Nasty looking. Bald front City Grips.
Sitting in sun in front yard for weeks now.
Bet he's happy he paid so much for it new.
