ZERO mods. I heard that some people had to space out their mud shield but I just let it ride and it "self clearanced."

On a real note, the clearance of the guard and the tire was about an 1/8th of an inch. It doesnt hurt my feelings if it occasionally touches but Im 3k miles in with no issues at all.

The best thing about running bigger tires is stability. It gives you a larger footprint so it feels less sketchy at speed and it does not follow the road lines as easy. I highly recommend anyone with a PCX is to run larger tires than stock.

I run my front City Grip 120/70 at 23-ish psi and the the Rear 140/70 at 28-30-ish. Never run the same PSI in a higher volume tire mounted on the same rims on the same bike of the same weight. You don't do it on Motos, Cars or even bicycles. My mechanic put them up to normal specs and the bike handled like absolute garbage and rode even worse. If your on bad roads you may need more pressure to protect the rims but cornering will suffer. I've had them on for 3 seasons and few thousand miles and they handle and ride fantastic as set up. I weigh 190lbs kitted up.

I know this is an old thread, but I was looking at a tire sizing chart and it seems that 140/70-14 as a replacement for the 120/70-14 would not be the way to go. The 70 section on a 140 mm tire leads to a 1.1 inch taller tire with a 3.46 inch bigger circumference.

A 140/60-14 on the other hand is the exact same height and circumference as the 120/70-14. This gives a tire that is wider but without clearance issues with the bike.

For the front, I think the 120/70-14 is the best substitute for the stock 100/80-14. It is only .32 inch taller and has a 1.01 inch greater circumference. This is the closest option of any available size.

Bottom line: If you want wider tires but want to minimize clearance issues (and have a more accurate speedometer) then I recommend using 120/70-14 in the front and 140/60-14 in the rear.

Just thought I'd post this information. I had to get a new front tire yesterday and I tried to put on City Grip 2 100/90/14 and this tire is too tall to clear the front mud guard. It will rub against it. I ended up going with another front Angel Scooter 100/80/14 as they didn't have city grips in the 100/80/14 size.

So 100/90/14 for front on a 2018 PCX will not work.
