Not a fan of riding in the rain. Especially during cold weather.

Over 4 inches of much needed rain so far today. Clear skies and temp of 78 degrees forecast for tomorrow. Far cry from the record low 25 degrees we had earlier this week.

Live it up while you can. Future generations will need a long extension cord to farm enough food with an electric combine to feed 12 billion people after the oil runs out. The age of fossil fuel will be barely a 300 year blip on the timeline of Mankind.

Good for you. Maybe someone that sees you guys will want to buy a scooter too. I should be able to ride Monday and Tuesday, if not Wednesday.

Great pix Steph!
Sure was nice today, eh?
My coffee shops were all surprised to see me...got a couple of "Ride safe, brother." and a big wave from the fellow (red, of course) Reflex 250 owner in town.
Cool to have a scooter buddy, sort of, in my fav scootering destination!
I can walk all over town now in my gear - with helmet in place - and not raise an eyebrow. (keep the helmet on because without it, the balaclava makes me look like a terrorist, and my balaclava has a long bib front & back to keep chin/neck/chest warm - all tucked into my layers. To take it off I'd have to peel down and start all over again. I always sit at the tables outside, with my coffees.)

Was really happy to get out. Didn't think it was going to happen. but, at 3pm the sky grew bright and we suited up and took off. Got out on the main reads and they were damp but not to wet. Only saw two motorcycles riding together.
Walked into the coffee shop with my helmet on and took it off inside. Had my belaclava too! Had a few layers to peel off. Kept my thermo riding pants on though.
On the way home noticed ice chunks floating on the lake. That was strange looking in a way.
Now is raining and 15 mph winds. Fine by me. Just hope it stops before tomorrow.

Been pouring two solid days across most of the UK and came out this morning to find cars frozen over - not good for two wheels at 3am! As I put the cover on a wet bike, found the rear of the seat with an ice layer - but the area I sit was fine. Made it to work, but took corners and bends very slowly (no traffic to worry about). Should be better going home once the roads are warmed up (no more rain forecast). Soon have to have days/weeks without the scoot, only riding when we have better days between the horrid ones.

Tomorrow (freaky Mon) we'll have early rain & nearing 70 in places with wind gusts up to 40 mph. That will be followed by a drop in temps with a Mix of Crap come Weds night into Turkey Day. Gobble this!

Do you ride into London? How do you get to work when you don't use the scooter and how does the travel time and convenience compare?
