I have Pirelli Diablo too. Work's well. Only what is good to do, more pressure back. To 36 make big different, go same as train. I am 115 kg.

Do the recommended tyre pressures change dependant on make or do we stick with the usual 29/33 combo?

Re: can the pcx go for 30,000 miles?
You asked what Maddiesdog rides now. He has a VStrom 650. Since he works downtown he needed something that could keep up with traffic and would not get blown over by big trucks. He beefed up his PCX 125 and turned it into a 170 cc .... and it is fast, but it was still too light for extended use on freeways. His wife said that he could only have one bike, and in fact he only had room in he garage for one, so the VStrom won top spot. That doesn't mean that he no longer has an interest in this forum. This was his 'baby' before the real baby came so he still tries to look it over as often as he can. He does have other whisperers who are maintaining it in his absence.
On the tire issue, if that little PCX still has original tires on it a 9,000 miles, the rear should be quite slick. If you can at least get the City Grip for the back and another decent used front one temporarily, you can get by while waiting for the front City Grip to arrive.

Not the wrong tires, very good and sticky tires, but they are reported to have a shorter lifespan than some other brands. Just the same, they stick like glue, so that's not a bad thing at all.eggman wrote:sadly I ordered the wrong tires I went with Pirelli

Re: can the pcx go for 30,000 miles?
I have looked all over the web but most places seem to be out of stock on the rear tire. I did find it on Amazon for a higher price, though I can't tell you if it is out of stock yet or not. It doesn't say. Here is the link:

Re: can the pcx go for 30,000 miles?
did some minor calculations and came to the conclusion that if my PCX lasts 30000 miles I'll be 99
if my current riding habits continue.
Old enough now when a salesperson tries to sell me extended warranty on a purchase
I look them in the eye and ask if they would extend my warranty?

Re: can the pcx go for 30,000 miles?
eggman, are you talking about the PCX or the tires? The PCX is a HONDA. Do the standard maintenance, change the oil regularly, and your little bike should last for a very long time. As for tires, well their life is short on a bike. Rear tires MIGHT get 7,000 miles but they would be slick by then. Front tires last twice as long.

Well it's more repair and routine servicing. Plenty of other things to be sad about.
