Suspension help

Hi all, been reading the pages here for a few days and cant really find my answer.
Its about the rear suspension. Just got a 2015 150… very happy with it, Except-------
i am a large build and weigh 99kgs.. when i have my daughter on the back or even just me i find the rear suspension to be hitting the stoppers over speed bumps, pot holes or uneven surfaces.

Can anyone recommend some upgrades for someone of my weight. I have looked online and seen some of the shocks for sale at webike and Powerbypcx..Ohlins and YSS.. what i want to know is, are these aftermarket replacements rated for heavier loads..

Hi Ronnie and welcome to the forums.
I don't have first hand experience with the ohlins, but the YSS Euro what us favored by many of us in the forum come in two versions. XL for 5-90 kgs and XXL for over 90kg.

Thanks for that.. Can anyone else help out? I've looked at the YSS G-Euro, Just unsure of Build quality and how long they will last.
I know they are cheap and are no Ohlins. But i want to be sure they are of decent quality..

I have the y series from YSS, I'm 225 and a few times have had 150 lb rider, no bottoming out. Spring preload set at about 20 pct of avail travel.

Thanks for the Replies… I need the XXL but powerbypcx and Bikerzbits don't have what i need. Im looking for YSS G-Euro Shock with red or Black springs in XXL.
Do any of you know of other sites? I can Source YSS shocks here in Australia but they vary in price from $499-$599 a pair. Both Suppliers saying that the shocks are custom built to riders weight and Pillion Load.

So i'm looking from overseas sites.
Do the ones on Bikerbitz come as a Pair? It doesn't say so on the site.
Any help is appreciated.

What Size did you ending going with XL or XXL. And whatever your choice do you ever think you should have gone next size up or Down?

YSS will last just as long as OEM. No worries there about longevity.

You won't be disappointed. That's what I have on mine, and after 7,000km they are doing the job just fine.

Hi, I have yss euro g, had them for a few years now. Much much better improvement over standard suspension and so far they're lasting well if not better than a standard shockers would fare..

I can concur, that even being a moderate weight (70kg) with a passenger on the back, the rear suspension bottoms out over every bump.

I'm certain it was a major contributing factor in crashing my new bike. Get that thing changed ASAP, and please drive carefully. Remember every time you go around a corner that you're driving on a dodgy bike.

I also disagree. No dodginess felt on my PCX whilst cornering. Adjust your speed accordingly prior to any turn. Be careful

I love the PCX, and I guess you're right, I can't comment on everyone's bike but the suspension is dodgy on mine as was the seat lock until I had it replaced. That I can say for certain.
