shipping tume for 'powerbypcx' items?

Post by caseybea »

can anyone comment on how long items take to actually ship from powerbypcx (Thailand) to the US?

my seat shipped april. 8, as far as I can tell it has finally left the country (apr 16), but after that tracking has nothing.

I think it took me 3 or 4 weeks. You could get lucky, but in most cases if you choose normal shipping it will be transported on a ship to the United States. Then it will go overland by truck. Just be patient, and one day it will just show up.

I visited miself that powerbypcx shop a couple days ago at Phuket, Thailand.
The owner is very good man, I highly recommend this shop to have a deal with.

I think they have a good reputation on this forum. They are fair and they try to keep you informed about progress on the item that they ship. The problem comes when it is no longer in their country. Then you just have to be patient.

That's the part that's killing me. It's a bummer not being able to have a tracking number so I'd KNOW when my seat will come.... *sigh*.

I know, I know, it (seat) will be worth it........

Fortunately we've had a cold spell, so I haven't even been tempted to start riding my new 150 to work yet... (34F leaving the house this morning)

Well, I got my answer....................................

It arrived today! Ordered on March 30, arrived April 23. So, 3 weeks......

SADLY, they shipped me the totally WRONG seat.

I ordered this:
http://www.powerbypcx.com/achat-selle-t ... 09880.html

But they shipped me THIS:
http://www.powerbypcx.com/achat-selle-h ... 93508.html

*UGH*. I am totally disappointed, and frankly a little mad. I have an email to them........

I can't even USE the seat either..... looks like a 2015 seat. The bracket mount bolts are REAL far apart, the bracket can't mount. Unbelievable.

oh for crying out loud.

they mixed my order with a seat they shipped to some guy in france. he got my seat, i got his... they want me to ship my incorrect seat there (france) and they told me they would refund the cost.

wtf? uh, no... I asked they provide me a prepaid shipping label...

what a cluster-f.

I would be frustrated too, but sh*t does happen. powerbypcx has a good reputation, and the consensus from what I have read is that they offer a good product.

I would get a quote from the post office to deliver the seat to the guy in France, including insurance, and send it to the vendor. They can PayPal you or make credit to your credit card for the reimbursement.

I have a seat on order from powerbypcx too, since April 16. I hadn't had any word since the order confirmation, so yesterday I emailed an inquiry. Jeremy replied, apologized, and said my seat was made today, and would ship no later than Monday.

I hope yours gets sorted out soon.

I hope mine shows up without drama.

Installation was a snap. The new seat pan is Honda, and it came in the Honda logo'd box the seat pan was shipped in. I simply moved the hinge and dust-seal to the new seat, nothing more to do except I had to trim a little excess cover material from underneath. Alignment is identical, opening and closing is the same as the OEM seat.

I rode 10 around the neighborhood for a few minutes on the new seat. Huge improvement. It is a little slippery compared to the Honda fabric, as though Powerbypcx wiped it with Armor-All, but that will wear off quickly.

I am a very happy customer.
