7,900 rpm is just about ideal. You definitely don't want to go heavier. 12g might be slightly quicker 10-50 mph but not worth spending more money.

I installed the NCY variator, face plate, and 12g rollers on my 2011 PCX 125 (approx. 4,500 miles), and gave her a new OEM belt at the same time.

Pulling RPM full throttle: 7800-7900. Max speed (flats, no wind): 62 MPH (GPS).


I've subsequently installed a second, identical set (NCY variator, face plate, and 12g rollers) on my new 2013 PCX 150 (approx. 200 miles).

Pulling RPM full throttle: 8100-8200. Max speed (flats, no wind): 65 MPH (GPS).


I would have expected both speeds to be faster. I'm also surprised that the 150 is only 3 MPH faster than the 125. And that their pulling RPMs are different, given they're both running the exact same setup.

Those speeds sound about right.

I get maybe 68 mph(GPS) on my 2015 PCX 150 when going downhill, and maybe 63-65 on flats(though wind is a universal constant on this island). I need an aftermarket air filter and Takegawa Silent Sport Oval Exhaust to get me there.

The PCX is not a powerhouse, and it would also depend on rider weight, what you're wearing, etc.

I suspect your 2013 might be able to go a bit faster once you fully break it in and change out the oil.

The speed does seem a tad low given that your 2013 should have a gearing advantage over mine(by maybe 3 mph), I weigh 200 lbs, wear a bulky armored jacket, and I have saddlebags loaded with 25 lbs of chains and a top box. So I've got plenty of wind drag on me .

It might be that the contra springs are a little different.

What is the rpm of the 150 at 65 mph?

65 mph??? Both my wife and i top out at 68 mph (gps) when we have new belts on out 150s. Right now she has a new belt, while my new belt is stored in my tailbox until i can change it out.

Mine did too with the stock parts but the 2015's are a little slower

today I received the Advance Pro large Diameter 120mm, 14 Degrees of Angle. I noticed that on the plate writes with embossed letters: PCX 120x14. isn't it problem for the belt?? the surface of the drive face shouldn't be smooth??

I have been riding the Forza a lot lately but I took the PCX for a short spin yesterday with a friend with a Harley and that NCY setup really makes it accelerate like a Banshee. I don't know how long term belt wear will be but the performance improvement is really nice. I may have a gained a mph on the top end with some more miles on the new setup.

It'll accelerate like a Banshee, but only up until the weights are locked out, which is about 50-55mph. While I can easily keep up with if not entirely blow past all cars and bikes under 500cc, it's an entirely different story on the highway where I'm following behind a really beat-up looking 250cc dualsport and I'm only slowly catching up on full throttle when I suspect the other guy is cruising comfortably on 3rd gear at a little over half throttle.

Still, having an aftermarket transmission really makes you less of a nuisance on the highway because merging and changing lanes is easier with the faster acceleration.
