the red is slightly off though, which is a shame...
thought they might be more red like on the brake lever,
but anyway, yeah, new Grips.

Throttle side was a nightmare, due to the anodised bit on the grip... it wouldnt go on the throttle properly as it has a sort of plastic lip on the end,
so the rubber would go over easily, but the anodised bit wouldnt, so had to slice the lip bit off....
but then the throttle plastic has raised lines on it, so when putting the new one on, the rubber on it was just pulling back (not going with the anodised bit)
so you might notice on the throttle one.. the rubber is abit more bunched up around the bar end.
A lot of metal on those grips, might find them cold in winter and hot in the summer.

I think they are used to stop fluid drips by race teams when topping up rather than "warming"

I'll probably change them soon enough, I dont like the red on them, doesnt match with the other red on the Bike, will do for now though, just after a louder exhaust now but too expensive the ones i've seen,
I was going to get another one of the cheap rainbow colour ones as I know they're a decent sound as I had one on a older Bike, but not sure whether they'll be ok to use on the PCX...?

JoJo you know grips now, and I was looking at these, can you tell me if they will fit the PCX?

http://www.amazon.com/handlebar-motorbi ... +--+grip01

Plus the throttle grip removal sounds like a pain. No where in the S-manual does it state the ID size of our grips o_O I tire of looking so maybe a little help woman ;)

They should do,
and not really a pain, Rubber grips would go over it easy, it's just a little more protection I think incase the Grip slips off, so theres just a lip at the end,
stanley blade will remove it easy though, just slide the plastic off bit by bit until the grip goes over it.

Yeah I might just stick with black and chrome, or the metallic black ones,
I seen a nice set but a bit expensive, waiting for my Sony Z3 to sell so I can get some off bits for the Bike.

The Mirror thread... on the Bike.. its 10mm right? not 8mm?
as I only have 1 Mirror I want to get a bolt to go in there just to cover the actual 'hole'...
I put a new Mirror on but it came with 8 and 10mm bits, cant remember which I actually put on :-/

I just bought these grips, £14.99 I think...
got them yesterday and noticed they're quite thick :|
are yours slightly thicker than the stock grips?
unless it's just me and having not been on a Bike since November,
but i'm pretty sure they're thicker.

Also, did you have to cut away at the end of the throttle plastic?
as they have a slightly lip on the edge,
I had to cut that away to get my last grips on...
just wondering if you had to do that with these ones?
