termoscud r082

Post by dpcz »

Hi,
I recently bought termoscud r082 for my pcx 2014. I was wondering if anyone is using it? After my first ride, I am quite disapointed. :( I was hoping this would protect my legs against wind, so I can ride in jeans more comfortably(in these +-10C).
Yes, it blocks direct wind. But it takes air and it circulates around my whole legs. It's much softer, but it gets everywhere and it's more uncomfortable. :(

I will try tighten up even more those strings, but don't know.

It's strange... perhaps the Tucano Termoscud that you have purchased is intended for the previous model PCX and, given that the 2014 panels/shape is slightly different, it affects its protection from the elements? Is there a different model for the new PCX?

I think there is no other version for 2014. This was supposedly compatible with 2014 according to local shop. User manual is suited only for 2013, you should use screw in that small storage room on the left, which is only on 2013. But it looks it fits fine. I sent question to official Tucano customer service, so I will see.

It's weird... I'm sure that the shape of the front panels is different in the new model, and therefore Tucano should have redesigned their termoscud for the 2014 PCX, but let's see if some owners of the older PCXs let us know if their termoscud protects their legs as they should, or the feel the air moving inside ;)

I think I know where is a problem. If there was second strap in that plastic curve it would be better. Under that curve and bellow nothing pushes the blanket enough to bike's plastic.

Perhaps you can (temporarily) close the gap with duct tape to ride the scooter and test if the thing improves? You can take a picture with the duct tape in place, so that we can better assess the problem?
