Weight Limit on OEM Rear Rack for PCX 150.

Post by Seekerfortyfour »

The stated weight capacity of my new rear rack approximates 6.6 pounds. Does anyone have experience with the OEM rear rack where they exceeded this capacity? The rack seems pretty stout and is anchored by 4 bolts. I'd like to put a 3.5 pound flat tray on top to carry my 8 pound tennis bag but am a bit leery given the stated weight capacity.

Sharing any thoughts or experiences you have had in this area would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It can handle more weight than that but you have to be careful about shifting the CG or you will find the front end off of the ground or your steering will be affected.
