Hello

Post by wojtek_pl »

Hi there,

Currently I have Kymco Bet&Win 50 but as the law has changed last month I can drive motors up to 125 cc and that's why I'm changing my vehicle.

And I'm in process of purchasing almost new PCX 125 (made in June 2014). And, I'm looking for all info I can find about it. :)

Please excuse few dumb questions. ;)
Regards
Wojtek

You wish !

Well, I'd like to have a hook for shopping bag. Something like I have here (up left):
Image
I saw one, that can be attached to steering bar, but can't remember where it was... Similar to that ones but with different mount.

Though, now I think of this, I wonder if it is safe to have pointy hook right in front of you...

I think if it goes on the handlebars what's the dif if you just hook your bag on the handlebars?

As for that image... I know that obscure motorbike company from somewhere even though I can't read a word of polard. Do you own one of those all in one scooters (meaning it's like a swiss knife) with all manner of creature features?

Bit lost. Understand some parts but it would be a help if you use English.

I think it looks nice and may work well for carrying. It would be better if it could be installed in the middle so the weight of bags is not off-center and possibly cause problems with turning especially if the bags grabbed on the body or something. Since it's metal and looks fairly solid it could possibly hurt in a crash. :o

Oh... p.s. congrats on your PCX purchase, have fun!

Thank you.

Almost have it. Just to register... And change engine oil because it smells gasoline a lot... It has 500km mileage.

Unfortunately I have user manual in ...French... Will trade for one in English ! :)

I HAVE IT !

First 17 kilometers behind me :P . No stress at all. Very nice riding ! Start-Stop works nicely, though it is not suited for traffic jams - stopping and starting again right after it stopped. OK, it can be turned off and I have to learn how to use it. AVG fuel consumption 2.0  .

Oil changed, just in case...

Oh, it's matte black ! :D

Pictures later.

There is going to be a lot of well kept PCX's hitting the market soon. Congrates on what sounds like a really nice one :)

You say the laws changed and you can now have 125cc in Poland town. Can you elaborate on that a little, is this because of your age? Maybe it's a no license thing for 125cc and under? They expanded your compound and now you inmates can go faster... what was keeping you on a 50cc? Just trying to gain some worldly knowledge of bizarre regulation.

picture.... WHERE?

Before the change You needed a driving license A1 (or some kind of A-type in general) for any motorcycle with engine bigger than 50cc . No license for 50cc or less at all if you are over 18. This has not changed. BUT now if you have car driving license (B) for 3 years or more you can drive up to 125cc without any other licenses. :) There are some limits , power up to 11kW and 0.1kW/kg . Similar to other countries I believe.

'Pictures later' means I'll make some pictures of my PCX an I'll post them later.

Wow! that is a really nice looking PCX, windscreen really gets my attention. How is that any different than a 2015? At a glance it looks exactly like mine. Great color too.

Frankly, I don't really get the difference between 2014 and 2015. Mine is the one with LEDs, first registered in June 2014. My guess it is 2014 model.

Windscreen is Ermax +12 I guess. It works. But upper part of the torso is not protected. I do have to change a little my clothing system...

For what is worth (June 2014) is a 2015 as far as compatible parts. I dub thee sir a proud NEW PCX owner and have put thee in the Royal Parade.

I thought all the 2014/15 are the same, depends how the dealer/people call it? The 2015's came out months ago and we still have over 3 months of 2014 left!

Ok, I tried to take the panels off to see what is behind them, especially behind the damaged ones. And I failed. I know there is manual on the forum but it's for older versions. 2014 model IS different... And to take front left panel I would have to take off ALL panels as well (maybe except front right one  ). I think I skip it... I just ordered the one around glove box and leave the rest as it is.
