Lost the hump ...
I probably will be fitting my pcx with a humpless seat next year, until that time I've adjusted my seat , covered the holes and covered that with a leather band. Like an old 80's bike ... like this ...
And my topcase is fitted, stil waiting for the pearle white cover ... it's in back order ... for a mounth now!

We all hate the hump! Honda will never do that again....We hope!
Did you trim the plastic towers that the hump was mounted on?

Re: Lost the hump ...
Perhaps Honda should not of put the hump on outside of countries where they tend to ride 3 up (or more) legally, as in most other countries riders know they will be pulled over and arrested fairly quickly (not forgetting how unsafe it would seem to be).

Re: Lost the hump ...
My hubby had removed just the hump and placed a patch over the towers. Still no good. Re-installed the hump until our new seats arrived.

Re: Lost the hump ...
I just made arrangements to have my seat reupholstered and the hump removed. He is also re-padding the seat. Cost estimate $100 to $125. He does very good work. He competes in classic car competitions. I am looking forward to getting it done and taking the scoot for a test ride to find out how the buttock region of my body is affected by the lack of hump and new padding.

Re: Lost the hump ...
Make sure that he cuts out the hump mount and reshapes it. If you don't, you will have it pressing against your butt. There are other posts on here by some who have done that.RusticCharm wrote:I just made arrangements to have my seat reupholstered and the hump removed. He is also re-padding the seat. Re: Lost the hump ...
My appointment is not until the 29th. Most of my riding is under 30 miles at a time, so the hump is not a major issue. But, I am looking forward to be able to shift positions on my longer rides and slide back and duck under the windscreen when I get caught in the rain.Steph wrote:@RusticCharm - Can't wait to see the photos! Re: Lost the hump ...
I took the hump off but then I ended up putting it back on. I didn't like the looks without and I kind of likesd it but I did re-drilled the holes further back and it helped. It might have only been and inch but it helped.

Re: Lost the hump ...
@Katschamne - Interesting, someone that is OK with the hump. Well, my main complaint about the hump is when I hit a bump or pot hole, my @$$ landed on the hump.
Re: Lost the hump ...
Hi Ben Lee et al.
I am a bit confused. If I take the hump out and put the band on it like you did, there is still something there that is bothersome ?

There is hard plastic right underneath the hump...that actually needs to be cut out.

Re: Lost the hump ...
Customizing the seat is the best option one can do for a taller person on the PCX
