Matte Black-US?

Post by Driller »

Checking to see if any one knows if the matte black finish was/is sold in the US. I know they are available in Thailand. I am looking at one nearby and it appears to be matte black in the photos. The flyscreen looks the same. I have a feeling this is a repaint job or an aftermarket set of plastics like found on one of our vendor's site.
Might have to give the bike extra scrutiny for evidence of damage. :geek:

As far as I know, the only colors in the states have been red, white, and black. No flat black.

Thanks, Maddie! Just as I thought. Still suspicious of a repaint on such a new bike.

You don't have to do a repaint, just wrap it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yk5rWnpgh_8
It is much cheaper, easier and it will protect original paint.

It might be plastidip too -- lots of people plastidip bikes or cars since it can be easily removed.

Ok, I didn't know :) Then it makes the modification harder, but not impossible :)
Front brake caliper could be repainted and for stripes he can use Puig stickers: http://www.motiun.es/en/19810-kit-de-pe ... -12--.html
Not the same, but similar. It still would be better to have original, but I think it can be a nice alternative.
