Buzzer for the turn signals..
I have put together a buzzer with parts from RadioShack, need access to the rear tail lights, does anyone know how to get at the tail lights wiring. , also I have the parts list and wiring diagram if anyone is interested, I will be using the type of connectors that allow you to tap into existing wiring without any damage to the wires.. If interested, I will post parts list etc..Ozzy

I did it the easy way and replaced the relay with one which has an integrated buzzer, these are available in many bikeshops here. Cost is about three bucks.

Do you have a photo of the relay? I'm about to scotch lock some buzzer on the indicator wiring itself but changing the relay might be a cleaner way to do it.

I will post pics of Buzzer and the wire taps, I used to use scotch locks, now that I discovered these wire taps, I am sold on them, Ozzy

Hi Fritz, I'm keen on replacing the indicator relay with one with a buzzer as I tend to leave my indicators on. Where is the relay on the PCX? Cheers.FritzPinguin wrote:I did it the easy way and replaced the relay with one which has an integrated buzzer, these are available in many bikeshops here. Cost is about three bucks.

Scotchlocks are ok but they should only be temporary. What are wire taps?ozzy7007 wrote:I will post pics of Buzzer and the wire taps, I used to use scotch locks, now that I discovered these wire taps, I am sold on them, Ozzy

Don't use scotch locks they are rubbish. Purely a temporarily measure only.

That's what I said. Ok to test things and then solder and use shrinkytube. I love shrinkytubeAlibally wrote:It's what the FBI use on a sting.you you wrote:What are wire taps?ozzy7007 wrote:I will post pics of Buzzer and the wire taps, I used to use scotch locks, now that I discovered these wire taps, I am sold on them, Ozzy

I too love electrical shrink tubing. To get a waterproof joint, I run hot melt adhesive along the soldered joint first, then apply the heat shrink. Little fiddly but works for me.

Do you know if there are specific relays for each model of bike or are they universal?FritzPinguin wrote:I did it the easy way and replaced the relay with one which has an integrated buzzer, these are available in many bikeshops here. Cost is about three bucks.
