First fill up MPG

Post by jkhawaii »

I recorded 93MPG, mostly city riding, part of the time riding 2up. Thats better mileage than my previous Piaggio fly 50! Three times the engine size, three times the power, better MPG. This was also using E10 fuel.

Nice. the engine gets smoother with millage. I'm at 9200 miles. I feel after 8000 the engine finally broke in.

It is pretty nice getting an average of 95 mpg. I spend $5 bucks a week in fuel instead of the $45 with my premium only car. Quickly paying for itself! Not to mention the wear and tear on the car.

Its also good that the PCX only requires regular 87 octane, the Fly 50 requires premium. I'm fairly conservative when I ride hardly ever used more than 1/2 throttle

I put premium in it anyways. Only like $0.40 extra a fillup if that much

Very happy with mileage. Only two fill-ups so far: 98.76 and 99.81, with a little two-up riding, on 25 to 45 mph roads. Glad to hear the engine will get even smoother.
2013 PCX 150 [now an ex-bike, soon to be consigned to the bottom line of the sig]
2013 Silver Wing ABS (Black)

Too many ex-bikes to list, and, besides, who really cares what we used to own?

Wow.. Minimum you can get here in Belgium is 95 octane... Premium is 98. I'll soon fill in my gas data in Fuelly, but seeing as I ride a lot of highway kilometers, I probably won't end up that economic...
