Octane performance

Post by ahulleman »

Hello all,

I have a 2017 honda pcx 125.. And its getting difficult to get the standard fuel here in my area of the uk.
I am wondering if anybody knows or have experience with using higher rated fuel.. The easiest for me to get in my area is 97+... 95 is out nearly everywhere!
Will my little zoomer be ok with this? As i am slightly worried about the ethanol% drawing moisture in to my tank!

I live in an area where non-ethanol fuel is far and few between. I'd be less concerned with a higher-octane rating, since they also have ethanol blended in. I'm also concerned about ethanol blended fuel and moisture, so I use a fuel additive specifically made to address that problem. I use whatever reputable brand is on sell and add it according to directions at each fill-up.
