PCX150 initial valve adjustment ?

My new to me 2013 PCX150 has 2700 miles on it. When I first start it there is a little valve noise for about 2 minutes. Then its perfectly quite.
The original owner had done nothing but yearly oil changes. I am going to go ahead and adjust the valves once then forget about it unless they get load.
The cover gasket is $30-50, is it necessary to replace it or can it be reused. ?

You can reuse it but it (or a new one) needs a dab of silicone gasket sealer at a specific location ...... see the maintenance manual or videos. Don't over tighten the little nuts.
