Liberty150iABS on a cold Ohio morning....

Post by fish »

(I always ride with my face shield open a bit - no matter the temps)

Used the shoulder of an I-70 overpass to stop and deal with my nose*. Temps in the high teens - before factoring in the wind-chill.

And again, here. Miles from anywhere - somebody decorated this shed.

*NOT using my new gloves for this....

I also have to keep my face shield open a bit when I ride.

Keeping the helmet "fog free" reduces the glare of oncoming traffic at night.

As I've said before that I-70 overpass always reminds me of my trip to Colorado in the 70's.

The Liberty has a very good headlight which helps me spot any ice.
My pre-flight weather radar check is my 1st priority in the morning!

Said it before and I'll say it again, the pin-lock visor insert is one of the top innovations of my lifetime.
Can't imagine life without one.
Visor can be left shut ALL the time unless for some cool air in hot weather (or so I'm told, we don't get any here)
Four decades on two wheels has taught me nothing, all advice given is guaranteed to be wrong

Both my helmets have "Pin-lock" ready face shields.

However, for me, old habits are tough to break.

I still just leave the face shield open a bit (closed to the point just before it snaps shut) for additional ventilation when I ride. 8)
