Kick stand spacer/ pad

One small gripe I have with my 2015 Forza is the kickstand. the foot is very small and bike feels unstable at times using it. I had the same problem on my Silver Wing so I bought a kickstand pad for it. Major change! Bike is not near as unstable and kickstand is good even in dirt or gravel. One caveat, when installing use some loctite on the bolts, mine came loose and I nearly lost it. Using loctite eliminated the problem.

I too have to double check sometime...Here I go to the beach a lot so sometime there's sand and gravel or uneven surface, it's not a 1st world country with perfect roads you know (! lol), so I think something like this will be useful, I put it on the wish list... , thanks for posting.

I had a Suzuki DR650 dual sport before the Forza. I lowered it for my 5 foot 6 body.

It is recommended to buy a shorter side stand because it would tend to be almost straight up. Very unstable.

Some people cut a bit off and re-weld the pad back on.

I found and even easier method.

I took a 20 pound hammer and bent the side stand until it had a good lean.

Problem solved. It stuck out a bit but no more than my fat ass.

Not yet but I have had to pick a good rock to put the side stand on once or twice.

I usually give it a good shake before I leave.

Get an aluminium pop can. Stand on the top and squash it flat. Pop it under the side stand. Sorted.

Keep or repeat.

A piece of plywood about 10 x 10 cm [4"x 4"] and about 1 cm [3/8"] thick will also do the trick and you can easily store it under the seat

I have a metal pad about 3.5 inches around that I carry and use in very dicey conditions (try not to get in those). But the kickstand pad works for most conditions. If you are happy with yours as is then just ignore my post...

I don't have a kickstand pad but I definitely approve using one.

I see the need for one as proof that the motorcycle was designed wrong.

I’ve been using one of those on this bike since 2015. Don’t have to keep up with a soda can or other type of toss-down pad. And given some of the places that I park my poor, abused steed, this has been a necessity.
