At sunrise today....

Mom and two fawns crossed slowly in front of me. She stuck around long enough for me to dismount and take pix.

This one was fascinated by my space suit.
He was walking slowly towards me ...until a kid in a loud Golf went by.

Had one more surprise me on the way home.
That's twice now in the same area - logged this in my ride memory. Will slow to about 15mph in that area now.

And, "knee high by the 4th of July" It was a good spring for growers.

Now that we have moved out "to the country" as they say around here, we see all sorts of wild life. Why yesterday we saw a square "thing" (pickup truck???) with 4 of the biggest wheels I have ever seen, and it was raised so high off of the ground that you would need a ladder to get into it! It was proudly blowing black smoke from it's big exhaust as it passed us on a double yellow line. You could hear that big diesel just knocking along. I am not sure what kind of creature it was but it was playing Country music through some big speakers. Yep, I'm in the country now. Oh, and we passed a couple of dead 'critters' on the road as well. I wouldn't want to be a deer around here. We hear gun shots and firecrackers every night now.
