Topbox instead of pillion seat?

Post by Hassan »

Hi All, I currently own a PCX 125 2020, and bought it blind and didn't consider the pillion seat to be so big compared to a 50cc bike. Instead of adding a topbox on to the body and making the body length longer, I was thinking of adding a topbox to the pillion seat but haven't found any online. Is this possible? and if you have seen any online could you link them, please. I'm in the UK.

They do, the ones I have seen use two pieces of plywood with a piano hinge. That way you can just lift the box when you need to access the under seat storage.

Also metal ones about that work on a similar idea, any small engineering place could knock one up tbf.

How about a BBQ instead of a pillion seat?

My latest project for my day trips. Finally perfected the mounting board, in the process of finishing it.

I didn't like the look of the rack and box sitting out in mid air behind the scoot. So, I use two straps to hold my top box to the pillion. I cut two sliced on the seat base and run the strap through those holes to keep the box from moving around. It's not permanent and the box becomes a back rest for me. When I raise the seat, the top box goes up with it.
