Maximum Load Forza 125 vs Forza 300

Post by Spaguar »

I came across an interesting information. Comparing Forza 125 to Forza 300 I found out that 300 has a lower maximum load. That leads me to conclusion that 125 and 300 use exactly the same chassis and the higher engine weight of 300 simply reduces the max load.

Yes the current model 125 and 300 are identical other than engine parts.

In addition, there appear to be a few minor differences in length, width and height and also wheelbase.

Yes, I've noticed that.
But the bottom line is: Forza 300 = 20km/h faster top speed, less max load, higher consumption, no idling/stop... I guess I'll stick with my darling Forza 125.
As for the speed, I feel great riding 90-100 km/h on my daily commute. Anything above 110 already makes me a bit uncomfortable. It's the age thing, I guess.

Ahhhh.... the age old argument discussion about 125s versus 300s…...... It's this simple… If you're running around town and under 50 mph, a 125/150 is wonderful. If you're going to go between cities on the interstate And don't want to be clobbered and arrive well rested, get the 300.

I think the length width height discrepancies are errors on the spec sheet.
When you look at them in the showroom, they appear identical.
The longer wheelbase on the 300 will be down to the larger engine.

So if the chassis is identical that should in theory mean that a pair of uprated rear shocks that are advertised for the 300 should fit my 125 right?

The part numbers are different between the two.
So may or may not physically fit.
They will definitely have different characteristics because of the different mass of engine/drive unit.
As the Forza 125 is a Europe only model and isn't sold in the far east, you're going to struggle to find anything specifically designed for it.

You could try contacting a suspension company to see what they could do? Maxton Suspension are very good.

Hagon are another UK company who will build shocks to suit.
