Waiting Impatiently for My PCX Hybrid

Post by Beachboy »

I put a $100 deposit down on a new PCX Hybrid here in Thailand. I'll pick it up in a few weeks when I sell my Yamaha Aerox 155. I don't know how much the Hybrid has been discussed but it should offer a kick in the ass performance off the line. The battery part of the equation kicks in off the line. Low end. It's going to be fun. The prices here, where they are made are in converted into USD:
PCX - $2992
PCX Hybrid - $3323

It only comes in Dark Blue at the moment. I'll be getting Dark Blue I guess

I'll try and get some pics up.

The PCX Hybrid is quite unknown on the forum as it is only sold on Asian Markets, so your feedback could be interesting !

It seems a nice improvement from the classic PCX, and the price difference is quite reasonable.

Too bad it's not available in Europe, there's so much downhills on my way to work, huge potential of braking regen !

Subscribed. Also would like to see the differences of the hybrid compared to the non hybrid bike.
As I understand the hy rid is a parallel hybrid, so essentially the ACG starter is used as a device to add some electric Ooomph to the internal combustion engine.
Am I right?

Price is similar to an ADV150, which is both disc brakes and ABS in comparison.

A colleague is riding a hybrid PCX here for months now, but I wasn't able to ask him about the performance.

I can't wait for your review...

Okay, I'll be back at the end of December with driving impressions.

There is an all electric version out there. It won't be coming to Thailand because Honda doesn't want to build a center for recycling the batteries and a couple of other law considerations. With the pollution in Bangkok the authorities should be finding a way to make it work. Anyway, I'll be back.

My new PCX Hybrid is in at the dealer! I'll pick it up in a week. Had a deposit down, not many of these around.
Many ADVs to choose from. I think they're a great deal with the ABS and rear disc. Same price as the Hybrid. 99900 baht
