Dumby - with a passenger

Post by fish »

Out on my scooter yesterday - saw a man with female passenger (up high, hunched over) riding a big sport-bike, both wearing half helmets, shorts and T-shirts.
But the really dumb thing was the way he was tailgating that p-up truck at 45 mph through town.
He couldn't have been more than 10-12 feet behind the truck.
I followed at a distance for many blocks.
Couldn't believe how he was risking the health of his passenger!

Today, watched a kid on a sportbike ripping through the gears at 50-60mph down a busy 35mph city street.

those two need a visit from Nolan......

Second verse . . . same as the first!

"I'm Henry the VIII I am . . .."

Sorry, couldn't help myself.

The stupidity eventually catches up with riders like the one's you described. The thing is they probably would come through a "get off" with just a few scratches but the unfortunate passenger would end up in really sad shape or worse.

...and who are the miserable old sods?? Hopefully, not us.
We ride scooters. We are not idiots who think a helmet is for sissies. We don't try to do wheelies on the freeway or tell our passengers to 'just hang on. Your floppies and shorts are fine at 60 mph."

There's no cure for stupid.
Four decades on two wheels has taught me nothing, all advice given is guaranteed to be wrong

2X?
I think fish wants us to get the message.
As Herman sings "second verse, same as the first." Perfect. Too Funny!!

Wait! :? I recognize that photo! My kitchen! That's Me in Mine helmet!
No problem, I'm flattered.
Neon yella, I'm a stand-out. Nolan Loves Me! kiss kiss hig hug

Those wild crazy kids can be seen everywhere here on the Island. If you don't See them, you sure the heck Hear them. At all hours!! In the AM I suddenly wake up. I wonder why. Then I Hear why.
Sport bikes are tearing arse down a 40mph straight-away a mile away. Probably on One wheel!! That road is under construction, btw. Sand, rock and gravel everywhere. Nuts.
I want to bury my face in my pillow. My face cringes. I don't want to Hear that dreaded sound. Car crash, wall crash, pole crash, Ugh!

Oh yeah, in t-shirts, shorts, sneakers, no socks, full/or/modular helmet, chintzy gloves.
Just Perfect!! o_O
