2018 Kymco Like 150i Owner Review

Post by Old Grinner »

It appears that the familiar Kymco Like 200i will be phased out and it's being replaced by the new, and slightly pricier, Kymco Like 150i.

This scoot seems to take it's cues from the Italians in appearance and appeal and has been in dealer showrooms for a while now in the U.S..

What is significantly different from it's competition is the price. You won't see a new Vespa Primavera 150 listed with an MSRP under $3,000 plus shipping and fees.

Replacement parts availability? It's something I would check into before buying one. . ..

That said it's a nice looking machine which seems to exceed expectations. 8)

Really attractive bike and anew to me. I'm not taken (yet) by small wheeled scoots but I certainly wouldn't mind having this in the garage.

Nice review style too.

That new 150i is a lot of scooter for $2599.00.
EFI, 2 wheel ABS, powerful 4 valve engine, simplicity of air cooling, easy to service, twin shocks and 2 wheel disc brakes, LED head and tail lights. Good ergos for taller riders, flat floor.
Slap some Michelins or Heidenaus on it and still a bargain.

Another opinion on the Kymco 150i.

Evidently there is a European, slightly taller version, and an Asian slightly lower version.

Also, I think there may be a difference between the gauges on the 2018 vs 2019 models. In addition, there is an app that can be used with it now also to program the displays using your phone. The call it Noodoe.

Worth a watch but note that there are some multi language descriptions. You'll see. . .. :? :D

Just posted yesterday.

No doubt all the kymco products are priced amazingly well. The only thing about this bike that would keep me from buying it is the air cooling. After riding water cooled bikes for several years, I think they are quieter, less vibration and racket, and more reliable, especially for me here in Florida. It's a technology that has proven totally reliable. It has to be water cooled for me.
