Key Holder

Post by Denny »

This is not exciting, but I don’t know what y’all do about your other keys on your keychain slamming around in the wind. I wanted to find a little bag for my extra givi key and gym card that would help protect my scoot from all the wind slamming. While searching amazon I found this cool Honda case for $11. I was gonna get aluminum tire valve caps, but decided against it because of the few reviews about them seizing to the valve stem. I did order a set of 14” red rim tape from Customtaylor33 that should be here in a few days. I’m also waiting on my hand pump I’ll post when it gets here. When you first get your scoot you keep finding stuff you want for it!

I forgot the before pic. I got rid of the keychain when I transferred to the case.

The valve stems will only seize with aluminum caps if there is no maintenance done at all. Once every six months, take them off and wipe them down with petroleum jelly, dielectric grease or a corrosion fighter like tef-gel and you'll never have a problem ......amazing to me there's so many problems reported on hobby sites that simply are a problem just because people won't take care of their stuff. Happens all the time in the Marine industry.

Where did you find the key case? I haven't seen one and I think it would solve my problem as well. I keep 3 keys on my key ring: the ignition key, the top box key, and the house key. They do rattle around when I ride.

I’ve had this for about a week now, it’s way better than my extra key and card flapping around. It’s a simple little mod thats worth the everyday annoyance relief.
Mel, you won’t be disappointed with this case. It’s a solid purchase for me.
