I met an older couple on a BRP Cam-Am Spyder today. It is a big machine and he said he paid about $40,000 CDN for it and the matching trailer.

Dumb old rich people. I am never going to be rich nor old. I don't want to. Oops, define old?

Ah the Gilera Fuoco, a face only a mother could love.
Another option is the Peugeot Metropolis.
Heavy beasts to push around.

Is the Gilera Fuoco the Piaggio MP3 by a different name?

I just showed my wife a picture of a used 250 MP3 and she liked it. She doesn't have very many requirements.

1. It has to be able to stand on its own without her having to put her foot on the ground when stopped.
2. It has to have enough power that she can keep up with me...and i am only riding my PCX 150.
3. It has to have a tall windshield or the ability to add one
4. It has to have the ability to add her Givi top box.

To me those are not a lot of requirements. You may call it an ugly machine but it serves a purpose.

Custom seat from Thailand - Bad Boy Airhorn
Takegawa Lowering Shocks - Michelin City Grip Tires
Headlight assy upgraded to LEDs w/HS5 main bulbs

There is a range of different MP3 scooters built by Piaggio.
MP3 is a Piaggio brand for a range of models in the same way that Vespa is.
Gilera is owned by Piaggio and the picture shown is of one model given different branding for different markets.

My thought would be, if you want a trike, a much-bigger machine would be better.

It leads me to wonder if you WANT it or NEED it.

Because...to many older riders...a lightweight scoot is an alternative to a trike. The PCX is so light, even a crippled caveman can ride it. But if three wheels are a must...go big or go home. Seriously.

If you have to have a trike, the Can-Am is the way to do it.

I'm not so wild about the price, though.

We looked at a Can-am several times. They are REALLY nice bikes, but I really wonder if my wife could handle one. I'm not even sure her reach is long enough to reach both handlebars at the same time. She IS only 5 ft tall.

Well, if this weather keeps up the severe afternoon thundershowers we may en up selling the bikes. She has certain requirements when she wants to ride. Try telling the weather that.
