The most important protection on gloves is the palm side as that is what usually would go down and scrape the tarmac, knuckle protection is less significant (advised to me by several instructors, and it kind of makes sense).

Now that the heat index here is over 100F and rising I'm looking into carriers for viscoelastic armor (flexible armor plating).

Pants should protect butt, hips, knees.
Shirt should protect back, chest, elbows, shoulders.
Gloves should protect knuckles, palms.

The great thing about Knox is it supposedly isn't temperature sensitive, so doesn't harden or curl in cold weather. (I haven't tried it.)

its a helmet with a face shield i had to put the face shield up yesterday though i got caught in the rain but i did have saftey glasses on

When we had our accident we both had mesh gloves on with knuckle protection and my gloves took most of their "truama" on the knuckles. When I bailed off of my bike I instinctively tucked and rolled. Too much military training?? I just know that when it was over i stood up, dusted myself off and went over to where my wife had crashed and pulled the bike off of her.
