This ain't Key West!

Post by fish »

All that's missing is his flip-flops.
Rides up to my coffee shop - no gear.
Worse, he rides off out of town one handed on a 55mph state highway.
Gets worse --- NO cup of real coffee has a bleedin' straw sticking out of it!

Some people just don't have any respect for tradition.

I see high school kids riding 50cc scooters on heavily trafficked streets around here, and many are in shorts and tennis shoes. I have even seen some who were wearing BICYCLE HELMETS!

...and yes, I have seen motorcycle riders wearing flip flops. Granted, they are all young riders, so I guess they haven't crashed yet...but they will. I am sure of that.

By the way, any idea of how many cc's that bike has? It looks like it could be a 150cc. Way more dangerous than those 50cc bikes that can barely make it up a hill.
Currently own:
Red 2013 Honda PCX150

Givi tall windshield & tailbox - Lots of extra lights
Custom seat from Thailand - Bad Boy Airhorn
Takegawa Lowering Shocks - Michelin City Grip Tires
Headlight assy upgraded to LEDs w/HS5 main bulbs
NCY variator, drive face, and rollers

It's the same as a Lifan LF150 T6 but without the Lifan logo on the side panel. I sold a fair few of those and worked on a fair few more when I was in the USA.

So, 150cc (actually 148-ish but ya get my drift I'm sure.)

I have the 125 version branded as a Lexmoto Gladiator here in the UK. It's not fast!

I still see more people riding without helmets (not required in my state unless you are a kid) than with helmets. Maybe it's because I live in a shoreline area. I wear mine. 8)

Obviously people put their own value on their brain, and it appears they get it just about right.

Charles Darwin understood this well.
