Oooh, shiny!

Are you keeping the PCX or trading it?
Did you opt for manual or DCT?
Have you had a ride on one yet?

I'm keeping the PCX in the meantime. I like it for running about on. I going for the manual version, it rides nice. Not that I've much to compare it too but I fit on it fine. Didn't feel so heavy as the mt07 I did my test on.

Chief say's "You limey's would laugh if you saw the test area the local DMV (department of motor vehicles) has for motorcyclist here in the states." And they don't care if you bring a scooter or a Hog... same track. I think I will drive over and do a video later. There won't be any cones out but the paint tells the story and degree of difficulty.

Chief... they don't call them limey's since WW11

The pic works if you copy paste the link minus the img tags into a new tab.

It's not. It just sneaks into the full A class. It s quick enough for me and it's got a dummy tank with 21 litres of storage. The bikes fuel tank is under the seat. It's coming from a scoot. The storage sold it.

Its the new updated NC750S.
Parallel twin 270 crank so sounds like a Ducati.
Interestingly has only a single exhaust outlet shared between both cylinders.
Has the potential to return some really impressive fuel consumption figures.
Older one in white looks better imo.

I quite like the white but the 2016 model has some updates such as LED lights front and rear different exhaust , the seat is suppose to be better etc, etc.

The new exhaust, LED lights and UK colour options are why I prefer the older one. ;)

Bump.
I'm just going through the Test Process did my CBT Last NOV, £100
got on the road again after about 25yrs off two wheels, learning to ride again, nice and steady over the winter
got some cheap dvd discs for the theory hazard revising over the winter £10
cracked the theory first time questions 50/50 correct 59/75 on the hazard perception test fee £23
passed the mod1 today after twice been cancelled snowed off in recent weeks test cost £15.50

found a local guy who gives me training for £20 an hour using my PCX.had two hours on his yard doing the mod1 practice £40
Got a lesson booked next week for a mock mod 2 TEST £20
im staying with the PCX ample for what i do. I Need a Automatic / step through type bike

Took me 10months to get my licence from DVLA (Licensing Authority in the UK) they had to look into my medical condition and meds i take
got a medical review licence for 3 years, then they'll look into my condition again
so far after the CBT spent £88.50 To get to mod1 pass Level

Mod2 at minute is going to be £20 for the 1hr mock road test
Mod2 Test Fee £75.50

if i pass that first time all in all not expensive to get to MOD2 Light level
Youtube has some great tutorials on doing the mod1 - mod2 tests
RJH Training one i found has good videos

i looked everywhere locally around south yorks for a bike school with a step through type bike over 125cc
nothing nowhere so sticking with the PCX. and using that for lesson saved me a small fortune

Q. Any one in UK give me an idea if insurance will go down or up after passing the test and change policy carry a pillion
clean licence Male in my mid 50's
Cheers

I can't speak from direct personal experience as I was (am, I haven't transitioned  ) female and in my 20s when I passed mine. I also never had my own bike on "L" plates as I learned on the training centre bikes.

I have talked to other girls who have done the test more recently though and their experience has been that their insurance went DOWN after passing their test, but possibly because they switched to 500/600s which were deemed less likely theft and accident statistics than their 125s.

The insurance for young people in cars generally takes a hike UP when they pass their tests because they are going from driving with supervision to driving unsupervised.

Probably not much god to you, but you never know. Good luck with the tests and other schizzle. :)
