I agree the reliability wouldn't be there (too much heat/stress)...but the tiny size would...
And you've convinced me, it's not worth it. For the effort (time is money) I'd say Squirrel (the owner of the PCX) should get a 2018 Honda NM4.

I don't even think about riding in the rain, there are so many fine sunny days. If it rains we usually only have to wait a day or two and the fine weather returns. Coming up to summer our average temperatures are around a low of 15c-17c and a high of 24c-28c.
