It looked acceptable, but it was temporary.
Now I have a cushion on the front of the seat and a cover over the whole seat.
The cushion levels out the seat from front to back and makes it more comfortable.

Gorilla tape is Awesome! Duct tape pales next to it in adhesion and strength. No messin' with it afterwards - It grips! :lol:

Maybe I should cover the whole seat with it.

Here's an update with my scoot tore down for lighting mods!!
I'm working on the lighting wiring harness.
Replacing the rear turn signals with LED strip lights.
I've mounted the spot lights to the forks, but I need to wire them up.
COB LEDs for underglow.
EL-Wire for accent lights.

I added my lights without tearing my bike down half that much. Taking the panel off that contains the gas cap cover gave me access to most of the wiring that I needed to get to. In the back, I could take the whole thing apart in 10 minutes, so the only problem I have had has been including led turn signals in the back. The blinker on the bike is not meant for LED lights. When I added them to my wife's bike to blink in unison with the standard turn signals, they were out of sync. Well, I will work on that, some day.

I'm adding a completely separate wiring harness with connectors for my extra lighting.
My underglow lighting is rear, middle and front, so I have connectors that will be throughout the left side of the scooter.
My EL-Wire and USB outlet panel are also part of the new harness.
The rear turn signals are coming off, and I have already replaced them with LED strip lights.
To fix the blinker problem, I bought an adjustable flasher unit designed for LEDs. ($1.08)
I know I could have done this without the complete disassembly that I did, but it is easier to put thing in their place
and mount the new connectors.
Plus, with the added wiring harness, I have made extra connectors for adding more lights, turn signals and the strobes that I haven't purchased yet.
I know, some people might think it overkill, but I am going for a certain look.
Plus, IT'S FUN!!!

I haven't done an update in awhile.
I have my lighting done, just need to get some nighttime photos.
I ordered the Top Box and will install it when I get it.
I ordered my HAM radio antenna and will mount that when received.
I have a throat mic/earphone setup for my HT, so communications will be easy.
the headset even has a extension on the Push-To-Talk button that velcro's to either a finger or the handlebars.

Things are definitely getting there!!

Very Good! By the time you get everything working and looking the way you want, winter will have arrived. (Bummer)
In any case, that is going to be a well lit up bike, and it is going to be "Mahvelous, dear...simply Mahvelous!" All the glim and glamor of Hollywood. :-)

Ah, but you forget, I'm in south central Texas.
It doesn't get too cold to ride during the day.
And night just means a heavier jacket.

But, yeah the amount of time spent riding will drop a bit.
I will definitely use the wintertime to fine tune everything.

Oh, I am well aware of the weather in -sort-of- South Central Texas. When I was much younger and lived in West Texas, I would ride my Harley from Big Spring to Abilene, and then off to Midland, over to Carlsbad, NM and so forth. Back then there wasn't much else to do but ride. The headlights on Bikes back then were horrible, but we rode anyway. Very scary, even for a dumb teenager.
Now though, the pcx is much better than most of the other bikes we could find out there. Adding extra lights makes a lot of sense out there, for sure.

My son was installing lights on his Grom and took my scooter to work yesterday.
On his way home, a deer ran into his path and hit the front of the scooter.
As he described it, the scooter went nearly upside down and slid to a stop on it's left side.
His road rash goes from his left ankle all the way up to his left shoulder.
He has a fractured rib and is very sore. But otherwise, he says he's okay. (Thank God)
His brand new $700 Kylo Ren helmet is severely damaged.
As for the scooter, I haven't gone out to look at it.
He said it is all cosmetic.
It is out away from the house and it is too far to walk because of my leg problems.
He's going to get pics tonight and I'll post them when I get them.

That really stinks. Wildlife is great, until it isn't.

Glad your son is more or less OK, but that much road rash and a broken rib will be a pain for a fair while. If the helmet is that severely damaged, then you probably would have had a significantly sadder outcome to the encounter if he hadn't been wearing it. At the risk of political incorrectness, prayers for a quick recovery.

Poor little PCX! Yes, the animals have always been a problem on the roads in Texas. We use to joke about the armadillo in the road, but it is no laughing matter when you hit one. The deer are smaller out there, but they too become no laughing matter when you hit one on a motorcycle or scooter. Also, as everyone knows, once you are in an accident your helmet has to be replaced. It is a "use for one accident" type of safety equipment.
He is lucky. Bikes can be repaired. Bodies cost a lot more to repair, and there are no replacements.

Your son's $700 helmet isn't "severely damaged", it's ruined and needs to be replaced. Insurance may pay for a new one, but you need to usually battle the insurance company for it. I'm glad that he only came out with road rash and a fractured rib.
When I laid my Pegasus over for going too slow around a corner, I broke 2 ribs, cracked 2 more, and broke my collarbone in half. My helmet was roughed up pretty bad, but my insurance got me a new one. Looking at me, you would have thought my scooter was totaled. Looking at the scooter, you would have thought I walked away with just a few scratches.
Ride on and leave only tire tracks.

Yeah, the helmet is now just a display item. Fortunately, He has 5 or 6 other helmets.
He's just bummed it was his new Kylo Ren helmet.
The deer was about the same size as the scooter, so it was a fairly good sized one for here in Texas.

He works at a dealership, so he gets a discount on parts.
He's also a tech, so installing them will be no worries.
The insurance has a $500 deductible, so if it less than that in parts(probably will be)
then he'll just buy the parts and fix the scoot.
The only other issue the scoot has is the side stand switch isn't working.
The bike will run with the stand up or down.
This, too, should be a simple fix.

Bummer - glad he is OK. I was going to work about a week ago and a deer (a flippin' big one too) ran out in front of the pickup truck in front of me. Hit is dead on and killed it. I have been very careful on that stretch ever since!!

We have various herds of deer all over out where we live.
I keep my speed down quite a bit, at night especially.
My son is still more daring than I would like(as all dads feel).
So, he was traveling faster than I would have been.
But, fortunately, he is mostly okay and this has been a bit of a wake-up call for him.
I really think he will slow it down bit more in these "more hazardous" places.

As long as your son can show the retail value of the helmet the insurance company will pay that. I gave the insurance agent the helmet make and number, and two Web Links and they had no problem. Also, when we had our accident the insurance adjuster calculated labor costs in the repair estimate, so he should come out way ahead if he is doing the work himself. After you pull the broken panels off you can see if there is any damage to the frame or steering. If not, you shouldn't have any more problem putting it back together with new panels than you had when you were installing your lights...probably less problems now because you have done it before.
I am just glad that he wasn't damaged more than he was. My nephew hit a deer with his Harley and he ended up with a broken leg. He lives in Pennsylvania and they constantly have issues with wildlife. The deer probably went home and complained about the moving 'thing' that didn't watch where it was going. They were around long before we were but as civilization grew they didn't get any smarter. Our modern vehicles go a lot faster than a deer can, so I am guessing that they just can't figure out how the motorcycle ('thing') got where THEY were going so much faster than they did. Many of them are young and have not bumped into a motor vehicle before.

My son is getting all the costs together.
If it is less than the deductible, we'll just get the parts and do the repair.
Otherwise, we'll make the claim and see how it goes.
