Inexpensive Compatible Parts...
Reviewing non-OEM compatible parts from various online sources that are priced too good to be true but may be the same part.
This is an entire pre-assembled clutch pack that meets the service manuals specifications from ebay for 30usd shipped from Texas in two days.
Assembly (including the otter bell) is 6.4 pounds clearly the weight and quality of the OEM product. The shoes look great and the bearings are stamped (Japan). The 19 tooth count is a match. No where on this product or packaging does it say China.
YOU MUST ADD 7 GRAMS OF QUALITY GREASE BETWEEN THE BEARINGS, FAILURE TO DO THIS WILL RESULT IN LIMITED SERVICE.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/CLUTCH-ASSEMBLY ... 9~&vxp=mtr
I would consider this (plug and play) pre-assembled clutch pack over buying the individual OEM parts and the 50 dollar tool to assemble them. IMO this is the same part

Re: Inexpensive Compatible Parts...
So would this be something to buy for future repair (before it disappears for Ebay)? How many miles should one reasonably expect out of the clutch assembly?
On my scoot, getting there is WAY more than half the fun!

It's going to depend on your riding habits. I would suspect some of us will wear out the shoes faster than others. I wouldn't worry about the NEW items on ebay, they don't expire, no bidding always going to be sold by somebody. I bought it to know if it was compatible then to use someday if it was or give it away. Personally I trust OEM parts and don't mind paying for them. The variator and rollers came in today, haven't had time to evaluate the shipment yet. I can tell you it does not look right to me.GeorgeSK wrote:So would this be something to buy for future repair (before it disappears for Ebay)? But that clutch link by that seller right at this moment is a compatible PCX125/150 all years part that is complete and pre-assembled. How easy would it be if you need one of these to swap out yourself and keep on trucking YEAH EBAY!

Yes spring installed, nut torqued BUT NOT GREASE PACKED. I'm 100% sure the one I bought from that seller at that link will fit and perform like one from Honda. I add things to 'my collections' and over time the seller will sell out and ebay will redirect you to another seller for seemingly the same item... don't trust that. You will have to do your research and take your chances all over again.eggman wrote:you rock homie!!!! so are you pretty sure this will work on my 2013 pcx? also does it come with spring installed?

Eggman says the clutch won't fit on a 2013, however it works perfectly on and 2015 LED PCX. You should return it,ScottDR wrote:Thanks Homie! I ordered one too. Great deal!
ADMIN please delete this thread before anymore early model PCX owners buy this ebay clutch.

Re: Inexpensive Compatible Parts...
So sorry Scott when I saw your year felt bad this was still up. Eggman and I worked this out in the other thread on Gy6 parts and this thread was never brought to conclusion. As it stands the eBay clutch has been installed successfully on 2015 PCX only but it will be sometime before LED models need new shoes or bearings. No one has found one to fit 2011-13 yet. Its possible the 26.00 FACE, SET DRIVEN in that ebay clutch pack is compatible with your bike but you will have to check that with eggman.ScottDR wrote:Oh crap. Reacted too fast to your post. Cheers
PLEASE ADMIN DUMP THIS THREAD SOON

Re: Inexpensive Compatible Parts...
Or perhaps we can locate a proper fit for the earlier models...
I would LOVE one of these for the 2013 models!

Re: Inexpensive Compatible Parts...
FYI..it is not a terribly big job to replace the pads, and I would recommend doing so using this part number instead of the original part number. At lease on my 2013 . The stock Honda pads were terrible with significant chatter and juttering on take off. I went with this new pad (22535-KVB-900)and it has been satin smooth ever since.Like Homie says for ease and simplicity just swap the whole clutch with bearings and all for a new one. But if you have some tools and like to mess around try these new pads cheap enough too.

Re: Inexpensive Compatible Parts...
No, I put my stock clutch pack back in and the ebay one on the shelf. When the day comes I need new shoes I will make the decision to run it out or not depending on the condition of my bearings.eggman wrote:u still useing ta ebay parts homie
I suppose I should learn to take down a clutch like you have at some point.
