Post by dpcz »

The rear looks ok. Can't see the front good enough to tell.
I change mine when I can see the air inside of them.
I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it!

The arrow shows you where the wear indicator is found out on the face of the tire. You must look close for a tiny tread that never rises to the level of the actual tread. If its gone time to buy a new tire.

Also if you wear the center of the tire down it will show a white warning strip around the whole tire before it blows :D Hey some goofs use that as time to buy a new one.

On a PCX its going to be many, many miles :D Street bikes and cruisers not so much. If you need a set of stock rubber for PCX PM me, we work something out. I swapped out IRC's for Michigan's within 400 miles and still have them.

I think it was around 8K miles (pushing 12K kilometers) when I decided to replace my stock IRC. Front still looks fine at 13K miles.
On my scoot, getting there is WAY more than half the fun!

Please paste this address into a new tab and add yourself to the map: https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=1NlP7xk7KMdJReQnm-iDhldFBdpQ&ll=4.995760578398276%2C0&z=2
but please, don't delete anybody, no matter how badly they deserve deleting :)

Thank you! That's all I was looking for. Sometimes the "witty repartee" here seems to be a bit much.

Thanks :)

It's very badly visible. It's very flat bump. That means this tires can go forever?

Um... that is a weird indicator but as you can see you have a lot of rubber to burn off before the bump contacts the ground. So yes, dam near forever on a scooter! BTW what brand tire is that? Take it easy in the rain not much pattern going on there... like a racing slick. Next set of rubber maybe you get some Michelin's.
