Dyno results from a 184cc PCX LED.

Post by BPT7594 »

Hey.
I got a special favor and got my hands on a long stroke crankshaft. The big end crank pin is moved 1.5mm away from its original position, resulting in a +3mm to the crank stroke. the PCX has 57.9mm stroke stock, so this crankshaft is 60.9mm. I also have another crankshaft that is +7mm meaning a stroke of 64.9mm, but that is for later.
Just a precursor, I know Vlad has shown his dyno results, but my dyno machine and his are not alike so any comparison would be illogical.
We made some runs with different roller weights, I use the stock torque spring from the PCX125 led, (which is purple) and stock rear torque driver etc. The final gears are a step down from stock 125 (11.27) to stock 150 (10.56). The front variator is the MFR variator that Vlad highly recommended (although I think it is not best suited to my application but it works better than most other variators) along with a 14 degree angle drive face to accommodate the MFR variator. Roller weights are 11.5gr, but it will need to be tuned out for better results. The piston is 62mm, with 31mm throttle body, stock 150 valve with Yuminashi camshaft.
The results are good. Stock 125 makes 7.5HP. This make 15.2HP. which is more than double. What I like best is the fact that during the acceleration from 0-120km/h the HP curve never dips below 12HP which will make pulling and accelerating much more fun than stock.
I am seriously thinking about selling this kit as a whole. To be honest I never believed in a long stroke making high rpm power but we figured out a way to make it work.
