Hello again. So after some test's finally I can say: I love Dr. Pulley Sliders!!!
I have less top speed than JCosta Variator but in general I have more top speed in the same uphills. And looking in the videos I can see that Dr. Pulley Sliders performs better in acceleration. At least it seems.

Next two videos starts in the same plave: midle of downhill. Same road.

Here with JCosta vario. The big uphill starts at 1:21.

http://youtu.be/BBbPiUMWn5A?list=UUuDes ... pjQXkFVn8A

Here with Dr. Pulley Sliders 15gr. Uphill at 1:43. Took more time cause of traffic but it's the same road.

http://youtu.be/BkOsctXo158?list=UUuDes ... pjQXkFVn8A

And another thing is I spend less fuel.

Now to get extra top speed I was thinking of milling 1mm of variator boss and drop the sliders to 14.5gr or 14. What do you think? I don't want to loose speed on uphills.

Best regards

Use whatever weight sliders results in 8,000 rpm for the best acceleration up hills that are too steep to maintain a faster speed. I took out 18gm rollers from my 2013 PCX150 and use 12gm DrPulley sliders and get 7,800 to 8,000 rpm. Milling the vario probably won't let it push any closer for more top speed as I believe the travel is being stopped by the rollers or sliders in the ramps. You might be able to mill the control edge of the sliders to get a little more extension of the belt travel until it shows contact all the way to the outer edge of the vario.

I have a stock vario that have the control edges milled. Probably it will work cause I have it installed once and my top speed was close to 130...

I have in my PCX 125 esp 12gr Dr. Pulley with Polini contra spring and this is the result.

At 1:42 you can see my glove in front of the cam. This was to know that I'm in uphill.

I lost from 132km/h with JCosta vario to around 128 or so and changed to stock vario and tested from 15gr to 12gr and loving it!

I don't really know if the contra spring made me lost some km/h but never mind. If you all see other last videos made in the same place JCosta vario loose in every ways in my opinion. Know is better!!

So, Sendler2112 since I have been following this thread with interest and have the same 2013 PCX as yourself, what would you recommend? I would prefer somewhat smoother acceleration/deceleration and a little more than the 64MPH I'm getting now with the totally stock (Honda) setup. 12gm seems light, I was thinking 14gm, have you experimented, can you advise?
I take it you're happy with the Dr Pulley sliders so I'll go with the same.
Note) No hills here in Florida, other than few gentle slopes here and there. Thanks in advance.

My 12 gm sliders are only pulling at 7,800 rpm now after some further break in and cold temps of the contra spring so I wouldn't recommend anything any heavier than 12gm.

Hey Sendler, I've got 11g DP sliders waiting to go in, how many revs do you think they'll run?

11gm sliders should work well. My 12's are a little too heavy with a high milage contra spring. The sliders have a more active feel than the rollers so that under full throttle they rev up much higher to the power peak than the stock weights, at lower power they settle right back down to an efficient cruising rpm.

I just ordered a set of 12g Dr pulley weights, as I like your results with them. Thanks for sharing.

Found this vid after installing my ncy transmission kit. The ncy driven face pulleys have 2 sets of slots (45&50°) and I didn't know exactly what one or the other was meant to do and no idea what my stock was like. Still don't. But I chose the 45°. No issues.

The ncy comes with a black 1000 rpm spring and 13 gram rollers. Won't use Dr pulley for the risk of scraping the Teflon coating on the ncy variator.

Still learning.

Hi,

If I only need to improve acceleration 0-40 mph and top does not bother me, even if I loose some there, since in city traffic I wont be going above 50ish

Are the 12g sliders best and most economical option?
I have 100kg, riding alone.
Pretty much level terrain(95%).

Asking because it looks I can change sliders in front section without special tools,
not touching the clutch part at the back...

All is stock from factory.

Is edit disabled after short time?
Typo for sliders :)

Exhaust is from aliexpress and chosen on purpose to look as close to original, not the 'akrapovic like'...
It costs even more, but once you change the pipe in front of muffler, you can.install any model as it is.universal 51mm ID pipe.

Pipe

Muffler
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/-/32960352285.html

Will cut the meeting point on pipe(wide end) shorter so muffler will go a bit more.forward, and will be hung in middle(better looking)

This works best after some riding...
Db killer (most left) installed
+
Perforated pipe for inlet, with plug on side to the muffler/back (it goes in reversed from pictured here)

Restriction diy rings removed(to the most right side on the pic)

This combo gives nice sound, (if someone wants more just take the rear db killer out)
And has some backpressure to maintain nice acceleration which can suffer if it is just straight pipe exhaust...
