I am curious what are the very basic tools riders carry in case something happens? :? I can only think of a Philips screwdriver and the most frequently used spanner

Hi badaveil, If I didn't welcome you earlier on the forum, I say so now :)
Although I haven't had the need to use this in an emergency, (happily so), I do use it to top off tires and carry along. I plug it into my Optimate 3+ tender wire for power (kept under my seat connected to battery). You can see/read more here http://www.slime.com
You might want to check an existing thread titled "Tool Kit(s)" for some more ideas. I carry assorted tools as well.

Yes, I think that's very handy and light.

I don't carry any tools.
It's a Honda.
In the highly unlikely event of a breakdown I would use my AA membership.

* Rope (thin, but long)
* Small towel
* Screwdriver (phillips / flathead)
* Allen wrench kit (all in one thingie)
* 2x adjustable wrenches
* duct tape
* tire patch kit
* CO2 inflator
* LED flashlight and headlamp
* knife
* small first aid kit

There's probably more in there, but that's what I remember off the top of my head. It all fits into a small lock-and-lock waterproof container.

Cell phone and debit card.

I carry a much larger and comprehensive tool kit on my mowersickle. The scoot is only the basics but that Slime flat tire kit looks interesting. Looks small enough.

I carry a CruzTool metric. Like a Swiss Army knife thing.

I will eventually get one of their more comprehensive kits, but for now this smaller one will have to do.

Tip: Stash Emergency Cash! Clean out an empty lip balm tube (Chapstick, etc.) roll bills, insert, then cap on! Voila!
warning, warning: due to it's size do not misplace :o

I mentioned this website elsewhere on the forum but I thought I'd place it here too. Quite the auxiliary gas tank http://www.tourtank.com
This is a 2 gallon example:

For reference, CO2 inflators are TERRIBLE. I now carry a bicycle footpump instead.

This. I doesn't fix the problem here in the US, but makes it more fun waiting for help. But be sure to dial AAA instead of AA, or it spoils the experience...

How many carry an all-in-one tool such as this? My Leatherman "Wingman"
Comes in handy and it's not the biggest in their all-in-one family. Must admit, I've used it more at that Nursing Home than anywhere else..........(Yet!)

NOTE: this leatherman Does Not, repeat...Does Not have a cork screw :o

STILL, I'm Glad I have it. Now, for your viewing pleasure.......
