Shark X16 ATV/Bike/Scooter helmet

Post by forza300 »

Ok, ok, i'm almost done with telling everyone how amazing this helmet is...

Yes, it's a farming magazine but it gives the general details.

I think this might be the future!

Think it's only available in Oz at the moment but i'm sure they will ship anywhere. 8)

Looks nice, but you won't catch me using a bike without a full face helmet. Still loving my C3 Pro ...

I kind of like my face the way it is. I'm jealous of your helmet TheMaverick.

Nice helmet Maverick. Because it is soooo hot here I only wear a 3/4 helmet, but it has saved my face once, so I bought another one just like it after the crash. Still, if it wasn't so hot here, sometimes with no breeze, I would like one like yours.
Currently own:

Ag bike article is excellent. Which we could get them here at that price...

Thanks. A worker at a local DIY shop approached me about it - lots of questions. He was really keen until he heard the price! Surprisingly though, I've seen cheaper brands with better crash test results (which I didn't see coming). My old LS2 helmet had pieces that generated turbulence which annoyed me - the C3 Pro is generally regarded as one of the quietest helmets (even though it's a flip-face).

Personally I like it (a lot) but it's not "whisper quiet" or anything like that. I don't know why manufacturers don't build in semi-sealing ear cups to reduce noise even further.

Over here it can get hot inside the helmet, but it's been manageable. There's a removable chin curtain - vents in the front and top - but generally the only thing that gets enough air flowing through it is to open the visor to the first detent (which it's designed to do). So not a problem when riding - but sometimes I do fully open the visor when stopped at the lights.

Wait, it has no visor?
Everything looks better from the inside of a motorcycle helmet...

It's an option according to the blurb.
