To hark back (if I may) to the original thread, I just bought a new AGV Blade to replace my previous AGV blade Rossi rep.

It's too hot for a full face here and I feel uneasy wearing a (frankly shithouse looking) Bell or AGV open face lid.

I love the Blade, great comfort, removable washable lining & cheek pads, looks cools, dark visors are superb, fits snugly into a Forza or PCX sooo easily, quiet enough for an open face and absolute bargain against the likes of Shoei or Arai open face lids which make you look like a microphone and don't protect you any greater (arguably).

So, in a roundabout way to answer the first question, Yes the blade is a cracker, especially in black.

I might consider waiting and saving up for the Skully AR-1. I realized with my first rides at 100km/h that I really do not want to take my eyes off the road at those speeds, even momentarily to check the dash.

:P Congrats forza300 on getting the AGV Blade! You are now another fan of this sharp looking lid.

I'm Still looking at it too...and may buy one IF it goes on a "Simply Irresistable" sale. :D

But, You know what? :? Apart from the Blade Not being the safest lid to wear and that it's noisier than my FF, I can't help but think about Bugs and streetcar tossed debri thrown at my (open) face. After all I do protect my body with proper gear. Do you have any fear of that? Or do you just ride and enjoy? I kinda respect (if that's the right word?) that attitude because then yer not stressed thinking about the "what if's" while yer paying attention & enjoying each ride. Like Why be thinking about yer Blade face exposure, right? I get it. But, me? "I" most likely would.
Firstly, I'm probably older than you and I tend to stretch outside the box about most things. (I'm a caretaker too so no help there with "Let it Go"). A protective helmet on me head, is certainly worth my thought. I do know that this is the only body given to me and I'm hesitant to wreck it more than the normal aging process does (and it does).
But then, Sometimes I Really Really Rebel to those voices in me head, and say.....
"I Don't Care What You Say Anymore This Is My Life!"
Go out n smell those roses before they die? (whoa or b4 I do).

It's a risk taking decision for sure.

Me to You...I really like your New Blade! Show it off for us will you? 8)

Glad you are as well! Cheers!

Looks ok. If it doesn't fit nice you can always return it.
I had a caberg helmet that had the provision for Bluetooth but the kit was about £100 extra so I didn't bother getting it.

Shark has a new range of LED helmets out - basically re-chargable with leds around the helmet to aid visibility. Cost is not much more than their normal range or others and some come with full-vis pinlock visors and internal sun-visor. Cost is in the region of £190.

Don't see the point myself, but others have recently posted about adding lights to their helmets, and these have them built in for the same price as a good helmet - and shark are a good brand.

Isn't it a little hard to see out of with the stickers on the face shield. ;)
