Pants for well built men...

Post by wojtek_pl »

Hello,

I'm looking for pants with protectors, water/windproof possibly with some warm, removable interior. BUT there is a problem. So far I tried many of them and all brands think, that motorcycle riders are tall and slim. Very slim. 4XL size is too small in waist and much too long for legs o_O . BUt in standard clothing 2XL is good for me. :)

So, do you know any brand, that make pants for someone not that thin? I mean 175 cm height and about 110 in waist. In price range 110 EUR - 170 EUR ?

Unless you're willing to shell out a little more for custom made stuff, it's not likely. I too find that waist size is almost always proportional to length with pants.

Time to go on a diet? :D

Check out Tourmaster's selection. They offer "short" sizing. They're 4XL Short is ~42"-44"" waist and 31" inseam.

Upon checking Joe Rocket stuff, their 3XL short is ~41"-44" waist and 32" inseam.

It seems that there's stuff around... you may just have to order from the US. We're the king of "well built men".

I have the same problem but in my case I'm a heavier woman and even men's clothing doesn't fit. I ordered a 5X and it didn't fit me. and I don't wear a 5X in clothes. In the areas it might have fit other areas not so much. I can't afford having my gear custom made.

I need to go a diet it too but it's not happening anytime soon. I cut out pop/sodas and some sugar I lose 5 pounds hubby does the same and loses 15 lbs. What the heck? GRRR

Or try this: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=HsZlLNEJLAw
Have you considered something like this? Under armor clothing wear? I have been using them for years. Very comfortable, they breathe, washable and the armor is great and placed perfectly. I believe you get more armor inside them, then you get in riding pants or even some jackets. The beauty of the Bohn Armor (and other Brand under armor wear) is the fact that You can use any top or bottom of your choice right Over them.
I wear (one size up) Diamond Gusset Kevlar Defender jeans over the Bohn Armor pants (seen in video). Nice comfie combo. Just another option ;)

I also have the top seen in the video. I haven't worn that yet because I have several Great armor jackets for different seasons. Would love some leather. Someday. ;) Saving.

Thought this was going to be a thread talking about crotch room in riding pants.

I'm not sure if I'm disappointed or relieved that its not. I think I could have used a good laugh this morning.

Besides waist / length issues, the problem I have is that the knee armour does not sit right so I took it out. That said, the solution is to keep it in but have external velcro straps just below the armour - holds it in place on the knee perfectly.
For summer, if wearing jeans, I've bought external flexible knee/shin guards - safety approved for road use (not the cheap crap often sold on ebay).
