Seen this youtube video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Hb4T3AwQQ4 ) which points to powerbypcx.com but I don't see the exact seat.

I see this seat...

I also saw the thread where someone just put patches on the two bolt holes after removing the stock hump. This is better than some of these aftermarket seats. Plus some people in that thread mentioned that the aftermarket seats don't have the rubber gasket for weather sealing.... so really, a "no hump cover" would perhaps be ideal for me??

Or perhaps getting it reupholstered wouldn't be that big of a hit on my wallet??

Hmm... searching one more time, I found a seat cover that gives the stock look (without the hump, of course)... but it's $60. Is there anything cheaper??

Webike has a sale on Noi Watdan seats at the mo, these are high quality seats made in Thailand. $60 isn't that much lol, a Corbin motorcycle saddle would cost over twice that, anyway check these out.

Sure thing.... $63 for a whole seat is great. But $65 added to that for shipping costs is not my cup of tea.

There's also only one model on there that I like -- the Type 4. But it's only offered in white and red stitching (not even sure if the red was for the 2013 model).

BikerzBits' seats don't use a genuine seat base, and therefore your rubber seal that you have to transfer won't fit as well.

You can choose between a genuine seat base or a crappy one like BikerzBits use. You can also move the hump back further.

mpmotorseat.com also wants more for shipping to the U.S. than they want for the seat.

What you have to ask yourself is, "How much is my comfort worth?"
Some of the members have done their own mods to their seats and they are happy with the results. Others did the mods and were not happy with the results, so they sent off for one. It costs more but looks and feels great.
However, if you are on a real tight budget, you CAN modify the seat and put a cover of some sort over it. Once you remove the hump you will also have to remove the plastic where the hump screws in.

I don't think the cost of shipping will be under their control. Is $120 that bad at the end of the day?

Problem is that all the covers for the 2013 model still have the hump. Perhaps a 14-16 cover will actually fit since I'm removing the hump. I mean... the bolt holes shouldn't affect the seat cover!! Is the seat that much different besides the number of bolts holding it on?

$120 is $110 more than it costs to buy a yard of marine vinyl and some staples. I highly doubt it would take a newbie more than an hour for me to do this, and I have never considered reupholstering anything before seeing that youtube video above.

And, again, I'd be willing to buy a replacement seat if it looked exactly like the one in the very first youtube video. Just stock without the hump. I don't want ANY humps, no matter where they are... no mesh.... no colors.... no colored threads.... just stock without the hump. And if $10 and 14 hours of time is what it takes to get that... it's better to me than $120 for something that I don't want. But luckily, this won't take a whole hour even.

Another option people have used is cheeky seats. Remove the hump and slap the cover on. PRicy, but looks quite professional.

OTOH - It would not cost much to give it a go yourself, then go the seat cover route if you are not happy with the outcome.

The reason that you have to remove the plastic that the hump screws into is because you will still feel as though the hump was only partially removed as long as the plastic screw holes are still there. They sit up high and feel hard, even though the hump itself was taken off. It is fairly easy to cut that plastic off and glue or staple something over the hole. The top will only have the holes in it from where the screws went through, so gluing something over them would be easy enough. Cheeky Seats works as a cover after you finish. Their covers fit dehumidifier seats.
In short, look at the how-to and go for it. Let us know how it turns out.

As far as vinyl, yes a non-slip fabric such as marine is good choice. However, some shorter legged folks like to slide a bit forward. It helps them get their "flat feet on the ground." I dislike sliding myself. I gather you dislike that too.
Many fabrics are online, (some on that eBay page), but look around. You can call or visit a trim shop too (boat/auto/bike). Or go there and ask.

(In the past) I had a seat reshaped, recushioned and recovered by a trim shop that worked with my local Harley dealer. I asked for his location and I went there. I chose 2 fabrics and colors, both non-slip marine vinyl. These guys did this for a living and covered many Harley seats.
I mention this as another avenue for you to consider.
