Got some YSS XL rated z-series on the way, imagining I'm going to feel the front end lacking after installing the new shocks?

Great find and the price is reasonable. I Have the PDD Valves installed already, nonetheless the springs are a little on the soft side. I might go for this. And I Could always resell one set of the PDD's.

Just shot them an email regarding the spring rates, its already weekend there, may have to wait until Monday to get an answer

Make sure you share the response, that is one thing I forgot to ask as well.

Well I can vouch for the PDD valves even as a standalone, and so can several others here. What interests me is what appears to be the top caps which wouldn't be applicable to my machine since (at least) with the 2013 USA model its not threaded but held in with circlips essentialy. The springs by themselves would be sufficient since I have the PDD valves already. We'll see about the response to my email.

I am wondering about the fork caps as well, as none of the pcx's have a threated top fork?

I just ordered the fork springs by themselves. I already have the PDD's installed, no top cap to be concerned about, I'll just use my own.

I also have the valves installed. I am really puzzled with their fork caps which are threaded, something i have never seen on any pcx, my V1 and V3 caps where just held by a small metal clip. is this something just found on the 150? I doubt it.

^^Even more confusing: they do not even bore out the damping rod and just put in 95 cc of oil?? Manual call for 122 +/- 2.5ml of oil on ESP forks!

Are they cutting a thread as they wind it in? I would've thought the forks to be too hard of a material to do that to.

No waay, to cut a thread in that diameter and material you would need a very high grade of tool steel and it would be expensive, the torque required too in a large diameter tap like that, and then the loose tappings falling down into the leg.. its just not happening.
I'm thinking this 'kit' is really for another machine. Anyways, got the email back from Emmett, he says YSS isn't very forthcoming with spring rates or much other info but he'll get back.
When I saw the top caps I just orderered the springs, we'll see how they do with the PDD valves in combination. I'll update when received and installed.

Yeah, after I posted I thought even if they were cutting a very shallow thread just to provide resistance, any debris would fall down into the system.

Here's another video with a guy installing them, and he just casually winds the top cap on by hand.
You can see the stock top caps in the foreground, but I can't tell if they have a thread on them or not...

Just watched it. This is weird, they certainly look like PCX legs. I definately don't remember seeing any threads cut into the stanchions but there's really no other explaination is there? Well anyway, here's a closeup of the cap itself, evidently it's a spring preload adjuster.

I just checked the Thainese PCX 125 2011 service manual, and there's no thread shown on DE XO LO...

Thats what I was saying, I don't remember seeing one, just a groove for the clip.
Re the pic you supplied: Another thing, Our top caps are all one piece we dont have a "NAP ONG GIAM XOC" bit, just the cap, 'o' ring, and clip

This kit was just released early this year. Maybe it's for the led models and maybe they have a threaded cap? Will check mine 2 x 2015 models and see if so

The English version of the V1 2011 PCX125 has the NAP ONG GIAM XOC, though.

Make sure to pinch your nose shut as you say it, otherwise you're not saying it right.

Early Pcx's had a plastic cap on top (the "NAP ONG GIAM XOC" bit). I installed PD valves *twice* on two different versions of PCX and can't remember any threading inside. I might be wrong.

Doing a google image search i did find this ad from expired ebay auction, they have threadedcaps on top, exactly as the two videos above ( the YSS video i posted shows the guy removing one at 0:33)
I don't understand they don't enlarge the holes - this sounds completely crazy as the whole principle of the valve is to take over from the damping rod! Really strange...

As for springs, i had installed harder springs in my first install of pd valves- bought them from german PCX forum. I am pretty sure it was a stock honda spring of another bike from the packaging, the label was removed so i don't know part number. It was about 5 mm shorter than stock pcx and said to be about 20% stiffer. I am sure there are stiffer springs of comparable size in honda's part catalog somewhere. I paid the same price bikerbitz asks for the YSS (that is including the postage): around 50 euros.
