John, my Husband is interested in installing hand-guards similar to the one pictured below on his PCX. Has anyone stalled these and can share what brand and model they used.

This isn't what you asked, but my brother is a believer in Hippo Hands. He likes them better than any electric heaters, insulated gloves, hand guards, etc. I checked their website and they have stopped production as of December 23, 2014. The "motor muffs" they produce are still sold at other sites (Hippo Hands says they still have some in stock to sell).

My hesitation in buying the hand-guards that you picture is my ability to remove my hand quickly in an emergency (crash) situation. Maybe there is more room when the hand-guard is viewed from the other side.

8) Like! Nice Dab! I also like the mirrors shown in one of the photos

yak I've heard of Hippo Hands, but like all hand pocket warmer types, my concern once installed is brake operation. Any interference or difficulties with braking?

The Barkbusters are cool! Little on the pricey side though. Thanks for the help DAB!
I'm curious about the hippo hands. But, do like the protection offered by the hard plastic hand guards.

Steph - what did you go with for hand guards for the pcx, and what make is that in the photo you posted at the start?
Ideally want something that offer good wind protection, not too small like some of the cheap ones, but fits the PCX.
btw - do bar end fittings fit the PCX natively (unbolt whats there) or do you need to get adaptors? Sorry, this is all new to me :)

So far looks like it's the Barkbusters that fit the PCX. Not sure which ones I posted. I grabbed the image from google. But, they do look like the Barkbusters as well. Check out DAB's link above. Haven't purchased them yet. Looks like all the hardware is there to fit them.

My wife was complaining about cold hands so I built some wind guards. Someone previously had given me a link to a how to, and it worked!

I have the hippo hands for my buell, you must have metal handguards on first as the wind will push the hippohands onto the brake levers.

Do you have a pic of the ones you made / fitted? Just interested to see them as the universal ones I bought off Ebay, work to an extent but I would like them to cover more space above and under the hands, as they are quite open and not as effetive as I would like.

Sorry for getting back to you so late. I didn't see this question until today when i was browsing the pages.

Here is the link to the wind guards I made for my wife's bike. They are easy to install and remove, and it isn't difficult to make them, especially during down time in the winter.
