Gerbing 12 volt port

Post by ptmcd1 »

i mounted this port in the storage box door. with my Gerbing heat controler connected in series with the 12 volt power cable which i installed through the back of the box, i have heat control to heated clothing, in this case i use Gerbing G-3 heated gloves for my old hands, heat is applyed to the full hand portion of the glove not just the palm. i just connect the glove power cord to the port on the box door. i have tried hot grips on all my rides but hot grips do not even come close to the performance of heated gloves. when my scoot is not in use i connect my battery tender to the port on the box door. be safe.

Nice setup. How much do heated gloves like that cost? I'd imagine heated gloves would work much better than heated grips.

my set up cost about $200.00 complete. Gerbings G3 gloves, soft and plyable, can be worn as normal street gloves, they are not bulky, or plug in to the temp control and dial in your temp. i have a single temp control , however dual controls are avaiable for jacket/pants/foot warmer on one port and gloves for the other. my single control is mobile so i can use the gloves and control on all four of my bikes/scooters. www.gerbing.com for more info
