Ouch sorry to hear that. Are you planning on getting it repaired? Are you still in India? If you get to Tasmania you can stay at my place, have a rest from backpackers!

I just subscribed to you on Facebook, I hadn't before. That sucks, and at only 12000 miles. Your usage scenario is beyond extreme, and you have a video of extreme water intrusion into the crankcase.

I agree with you that the PCX was an excellent choice for this trip -- I've never heard of a single failure other than from mass maintenance neglect (which you clearly did not do -- you kept up with all the maintenance). I hope Honda sees this through...

Not sure if the image will show up, but for everyone on this forum, here's where the thrown rod in Andrew's engine went THROUGH the case:

I don't know how far out I will end up going from I-drive, I won't be renting a car as it comes to about £420 because of my age, then there's parking and fuel, it's actually cheaper for me to get taxis to everywhere I wanna go. Maybe when im a few years older I'll go back and rent a mustang :D
And don't worry about it being aimed at kids, me and my girlfriend have a mental age of about 12
Whoa! Is it odd that I was in orlando the same time you were? I was there for a national safety conference at the expo center tho...

From Andrew's Facebook, it looks like he's ditched the PCX:

Yep apart from cricket, the one thing the Indians learnt from the British is bureacracy (after having done some biz there). At least if he buys one in Thailand he can access all the cheap aftermarket accesories there.
