Trying to remove the storage under seat

Post by Darmie »

Hi all. I have a 2014 Forza 300.
While I was changing out the seat shock I lost it down in the void. I've looked and looked and can't find it. I'm trying to remove the seat storage but I'm not sure of the best approach. I did remove the seat and got the front part unlatched but I'm not sure the next approach to remove it fully. I'm thinking that I may need to pull the battery too. To the left front of the battery is a fuse block that needs to be moved somehow.
I'm thinking this may be easier to remove the tub rather than trying to take the bottom off.

I am not sure it is worth all the effort in this case. Replace the shock or use a stick; it would save much time and grief. In my opinion the battery is located in a terrible spot, I hate to replace it....

Good luck with whatever you decide.

Had a similar problem and someone on here recommended using a "spring hatch holder". Works fine and easier install.
