Just checkin' in

Post by Smaug »

The Silver Wing is doing great; just finished a 5-day, 1,885 mile (3,054 km) road trip on it.

It was not without pain. I did over 500 miles (810 km) yesterday, which was quite tough on the ol' body. My back is still a little sore today.

I see that the membership is up and up; great!

I'll admit it - I'm envious!

Great effort. The swing looks awesome in black, way better than the silver imho. With a comfy chair of a ride like that it's hard to imagine how painful the experience was :)

Yep. Go read the trip report thread I linked to, all the details are there.

It's definitely more comfy than my PCX was; I wouldn't have made it on the PCX. I did like the ability to change seating positions, and that helped a lot.

But there were times when I wanted to be able to lean forward more. It was almost 1900 miles in 5 days, so there's got to be some pain. ;)

I like it in black too, and it's easy to find matching gear for a black bike.

...but I think my wine red 2004 'wing looked better.

Welcome back Smaug... you wild and crazy wonderer.
I wish my job didn't chain me to my workshop or I might scoot the planet on a motorbike :)
