I know it's been a while since the last update, but the scoot's been down since the deer altercation.
I got new turn signals, mirrors and some plastics.
The turn signals fit perfectly in the stock locations but do not stick out like the stock ones.
The mirrors are bar end mirrors and they look great.
The biggest surprise was the plastic below the dash. The new one doesn't have the cutouts for the turn signals.
That makes me happy, as I have removed the stock ones and the new ones look better.
The only problem(not a big one) is the stickers on the plastic panel below the dash.
The new part doesn't have any stickers and I'm not sure if I should try to transfer the old ones.
The trunk is also in and mounted on the back of the seat. I like the look of it and it seems pretty stable.
Once I get the scoot back together, I'll post some pics.

The only sticker I am the least bit concerned about is the one on the right side as it has the VIN#.
Unfortunately, that one isn't listed.
I may just use a heat gun and try to remove it and then put it on with contact cement.

Well, my scoot is now back together, with the exception of the small cover just above the fuel door.
The new large panel between the dash and the fuel door is not for the American PCX as I noted in an earlier post.
So, while there are no turn signal holds, which I like, there also wasn't a hole for the parking brake.
I made a hole for the brake and it looks very good.
My big flood lights, which were in the location of the old front turn signals are now gone.
The deer wreck took out the one on the left side, so, I removed them both.
I still have the spot lights mounted to the forks.

Looks very nice.
At this time I have my bike completely apart in my basement, and I am installing all sorts of lights in the headlight assembly...which it had no holes for originally, so I made some. When I am done I will leave the lights on that are on the sides of the front fork, but the new HS5 bulbs in the main light assembly should be much brighter than the original bulbs.

It looks like a mess in my basement right now but the special connectors I ordered came in yesterday, so I will be putting the bike back together soon.

Meanwhile, is your bike fully assembled, aside from that cover you said was missing? (I am still not sure which part that is as your pictures look like the parts are all there.)

Wow, Mel46!!! That's a serious take down!!
I've thought about adding lights to the headlight assembly, too.
Take pics of your progress, I'd like to see how it goes and what parts you use!!

Yeah, it's all together, except for that one little panel.
It's the one that covers the single bolt in the large panel below the dash.
It has two little white clips that hold it in place.
I used those clips, because the new big panel below the dash has no turn signal cutouts.
And instead of the cutouts, it has two of those clips that help hold it to the scooter.
My son has them sitting by his computer at the dealership.
I have to remind him to bring them home tonight!

Oh yes, that part. I know it well. That is the one part that is a b#&*h to get off without breaking something. Those clips are what hold mine on. The other little tabs broke off long ago.

I have already posted this picture previously, but here is a picture of the light assembly. I have been waiting for some special connectors which came in the mail yesterday. They will replace the Posi-taps that are in the picture. Those were in place in order to test the lights, to make sure they will all work...which they do. I hope to connect those today and finish wrapping the wiring before putting everything back together. I also cleaned up the red wires you see on the frame that go toward the back. I didn't need for them to be so long since they handle the Bad Boy horn and the strobe lights.

What did you use for the lower lights that you added on?
I've been looking for sockets that I can press in.
I've seen them before at auto parts stores, but I want something a little smaller.

I like the idea of adding more lights to the available places!!

I used T10 sockets (194 bulbs) for both the top and the bottom. The bulbs are LED on top while the bottom ones are the shortest bulbs I could find. They won't light up the world but at least there are lights there. In order hold the lights in, I drilled the holes just slightly larger than the socket. Then I made custom socket locks out of some scrap plastic and used little screws to hold them in place...after trying glue which could not handle the torque of locking the sockets in place.
Well, I finished the lights today. Here is a picture of the finished back, and one with the lights turned on (bike started). By the way, these extra lights are wired so they stay on whether I have low beams or high beams on.

That looks sweet!!!
What headlight bulbs are you using?
The only LED HS5 bulbs I could find were $70 a piece.
I really like that look, and it makes you more visible!!

The full-on front looks like all those lights SHOULD be there. It is pretty lame that Honda bailed.
On my scoot, getting there is WAY more than half the fun!

I used the standard HS5 bulbs that were given to me. They arebrighter than the original bulbs that came in my 2013 model.

Today I ordered some supposedly brighter led bulbs for the bottom position, so I will see how they work out before reassembling the bike.

I still have the LED spot lights on the front forks as well, so I don't think I will have any problem seeing and being seen now.

Mine are really dim.
I hope I can replace them without tearing everything apart on the front, again!!!

I used Molex locking 2 and 3 pin connectors for all my lights.
Each light has it's own connector with a "Y" splitter cable where two lights are close together.
My switches use 3 pin connectors because they are lighted switches.

I have to make sure that my sockets have some protection from the elements. I haven't quite figured out how to fully protect the sockets yet. You know, you have to make it so that the bulbs can be replaced while also making the whole unit weather resistant.

On my molex connectors, I fill the back end of them with clear silicone sealant,
then heat shrink over the wire and back end of the connector.
All my connectors are fairly well protected from the weather.
Any that might be open to the elements, I would suggest dielectric grease.
It is non-conductive and very protective from moisture.

BTW, are the "T" connectors you are using able to come apart or are they solid connections?

The T-connectors open on both ends. After you put the wire in you clamp the connector closed. I used one of my wire strippers to clamp down so that I wouldn't press down too hard. The stripper has a narrow head, so I pressed each side separately in order to get a good bite into the wires.
There are two sizes of connector. Both say they can handle 18 gauge, which is what the headlight wires are. I got the smaller ones because I am using 20 gauge wire for the LED lights, which made it a tight fit for the 18 gauge.
They have a locking mechanism for the top once you press them down into the wire. After that I used some of my silicone tape to wrap the connector to make sure it would never come loose. I really was surprised and pleased at how small they are. They have double and single wire connectors.
